Hi Everyone,

Due to my latest turbo upgrade ive decided to place my Apexi AFC Neo up for sale. The unit has been faultless and excelent for the past ~7000 kms whilst on the car.

I can strongly reccommend this piggy back unit to anyone seeking to extract the most from their standard turbo under a responsible budget. Most noticable after the tune was a dramatic increase in fuel economy and power output of 205.5rwkw @ 11.5psi. This was on my auto which does sap a tad more power than the manuals

Located in Sydney

Condition: As new as it only ever saw its time in my glovebox

Pictures will be posted as soon as the car arrives back from the workshop

I also have the original box and instruction manual

Price: $380

Cheers

Adrian

hey mate,

just wanting to know what supporting mods you are running with this? I have a GTT M/T and looking into getting one of these. Can you let me know what mods you got/had most benefitted from when installing one of these?

Cheers - Kyle

Tanks bbe,

I have a FMIC, full turbo back xhorst, spitfires coils, HKS EVC 5(sliver screen) running 12psi, exedy heavy duty clutch. What power gains would I expect from my set up? Would an aftermarket fuel pump help out?

Where is a good place to install and tune in Sydney? Any recommendations?

Cheers - Kyle

Hi mate,

I had mine installed and tuned at Unigroup Engineering out at toongabie way, they know their skylines well. I was honestly shocked by the gains myself as mine was an auto. Prior to install my car ran the same boost 11-12 and made ~174rwkw which was Full exhaust, profec B, Intercooler and apexi pod i think. I Remember expecting the coils to go but they did hold up fine even up to now.

When i installed the AFC Neo i also installed a fuel pump just incase the standard one let go. Also recommend to do the plugs! I think theyre bcpr7es, slightly colder than standard.

On the street my car was really responsive, and it honestly felt like driving a bigger engine if that makes sense.

PM me, you will find i am negotiable.

Cheers

Hi mate.

Yeah that is a fairly impressive gain from what you were running before, similar to my mods so I would think that I would be at about the same power as yours was - 175-180 maybe due to being a manual. Where did u notice the gains? Mid range or all the way through? Boost come on a bit stronger as well? Heard that with these that they better the fuel consumption alot as well, was this the case with u too? Mine is a daily so am always looking to cut the fuel bill down but a bit more power and better fuel economy, well how could say no!

I'm just around the corner from Autosport and I have had work done there before so might give Greg a call and see if he can help me out with install and retune.

Yeah prior to the install the car felt a little weak in the midrange like it lost a touch of power and then came on again. But honestly the response is really its strong point, i could basically take anyone at the lights and get infront. Literally the power is on very early.

Autosport, i have heard of them before. Are they known as Unique autosports?

Let me know if you need any further help

Autosport are totally different company to Unique and have been around for a fairly long time. I would recommend them to anyone with a line or similar - they have a RB26 powered S15, definately know their cars.

yeah, i can definately feel through the revs a few flat spots and a certain "loss of power" feel when giving it an absolute boot full. Response is definately what i'm looking for in a street car, smoother power delivery and slightly better fuel economy.

Send me a PM and around tax time I should be able to take this off your hands, im sure we can work something out.

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
