I wonder if my 34 gtt 's stock bov is too loud?

yep HW patrol on morely drive pulled me saying i had a aftermarket one on. when i finally convinced them they started on my strut bar how it isnt safe having it, i told them it comes from the factory like that and the pits okayed it when my car was complied. they didnt believe me and told me to get a permit for it or i would get a sticker for it...... :P

lolwut? are you on the propaganda band wagon too?!

Not so much on the propaganda band wagon but my own band wagon that eventually the crime will match the punishment... i am sick of hoon laws being unjust compared to other laws... i am not against the hoon laws being there as i think they have merit in some ways i am just against it being a worse punishment then Drink driving...

i agree on hoon laws (im sick of idiots thrashing there cars down my street) and i do use the hotline but i just hate the fact that the popo mainly target imports. i sure your modded import would be safer to drive then that vn that blazed past a school zone at 100km/h also +1 for the drink/drug driving thing they should lose their cars for sure!

o noes my stock bov is going to be found and my front strut oh crap!!! i'm DOOOMED!

....ridiculous i tell you... i might sign up to be a cop JUST to goto the boss 'your a f**king dick send everyone here to a mechanic course NOW'

your kidding?

im frigging almost speechless about your post mate

how frustrating would it be to loose time and money going to the pits for stock components?....

why do they do this to you guys over there?

this rant will go nowhere

but to the many members who are cops on here "good one dick heads!"

(oh and to the non dickhead cops keep up the good work fellas)

do some sort of basic vehicle component identification course ffs!

i wonder if they will make me take the rear strut out of the zed, you know, the one with big Z logo on it that cant be removed...

I got done for a stock GTR bov before. So thats pretty lame.

Went on a Mandurah cruise yesterday and cops rocked up to one of our meet points, then highway patrol arrived.

They asked what we were doing and said if we don't cause any trouble they won't give us any.

Was good to see that for once

So did you remove the stock bov and plug the hole?

this ones kinda stupid (the driver, that is)! ford driver, losing two cars.

the cops are getting all cocky, i just hate the way they talk in the article.

who the hell has such a boring life that they send in footage they found on FACEBOOK of someone doing burn outs.

can we send in footage of all those 'perfect' drivers who dont know how to drive, who go really slow or sporadically change lanes???

    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
