Hi, will be getting aftermarket rims soon and was wondering if there was any interest in this maybe a month or less from now..

7 spoke V35 OEM 18" shadow chrome rims with bad gutter rash - will need to be resprayed

18 x 8", +30mm offset on each

Yokohama V550 tyres - 225/40/18 front and 245/40/18 rear

Fronts were bought a few months ago ($400 per corner) and rears still have at least 6mm left on tread.

what kind of interest is there?

Hi Mate.

Any idea how much it may be to repair gutter rash like that ? per wheel?

Because I had similar thing in my NISMO wheels

Cheers

I got quoted to repair them in silver would cost around $100 per rim. Does that sound alright?

Mate, that is what I am afraid of.

Giving your color is shadow chrome and my one is black. It will cost more than the silver one ( They only need clear coat)

Cheers

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
