Exedy 5 Puck Solid Center Clutch, Has Gone Spongy

Hey guys i tryed a search on the forum and didnt find anything,

i brought a Brand new Exedy 5 puck Solid center button clutch. on my last few laps of QR i found when i put my foot on the clutch it feels spongy not like a button clutch anymore... more like a normal clutch!?!?!? this car hasnt had much street driving as its just a track car.

is this clutch f**ked? or could there be another issue with the clutch peddles and the gear in between the peddle and the box?

any help would be great,
