Some f**king assholes broke into my R33 last night.

They didn't take anything because well.. I had nothing in there lol.

I also removed the negative terminal on the battery since I hardly drive it.

They pried open the drivers side window since they are pillarless and shoved their hand in to pull the unlock switch.

Now my windows f**ked cause it's out of place and when I try to open and close it by using the window switch, there's a loud clunk.

Anyone know how to open up the R33 drivers side door and get to the window unit?

Thats bad luck mate. To remove the trim take off the cap thats inside your hand well on the door then remove screw. lift up the switch panel and unplug. remove all the screws along the bottom of door then pull trim away again at bottom of door a little bit then tap up which should part the top of the trim along the window edge. Remove the plastic carefully and you should then see the window mechanism. you will need to put plastic back on after

Thanks for the help mate but I don't know how to lift up the switch panel. I already removed that screw in the hand well but the switch panel will not budge.

Do I also have to remove the door handle card because I'm finding it extremely difficult to undo the door handle clip.

looks like you leave the switch plate attached to the card you disconnect it from behind once you undo card from door. to get the door opener surround off just put your fingers behind one of the corners and pull on it its cliped in. give that a try

I can't undo the card from the door because the switch plate is connected to something behind the card and my hand is too big to detach the connection :)

I just pulled my switch plate off, after the screw is out I put my arm along rest with my hand going over end of switch plate. I curled my fingers around and underneath the edge up the top of the switches and pulled up then the switch plate came out. it would only come off with leverage from the top. there is a clip between the hand hole and switches underneath the panel holding it to the door.

Thanks I removed the switch plate.

After I remove the plastic thing that covers the door, do I have to remove the steal frame behind it?

    • Hey keep the ideas coming, I'm always keen on projects! But, problem fixed!  I got a cheapie ozito scope from Bunnings and had a good look in and around the bearing and sensor hole. I couldn't see a smoking gun but the bearing looked a bit strange, especially when comparing with a new one. I thought the cover had come off the bearing magnets.  Sorry for pics of a screen, I didn't have an SD card.     Good thing I had the old one to inspect. So, given I'm like a pit crew with wheel bearings and luckily I had a spare bearing because I f**ked up my parts order, I decided to just smash it out. Got the old one out in about an hour. So much easier when the parts haven't had a chance to rust together yet. 😂 And, well, found the problem.    In the second pic at about the 8 o'clock position, you'll see what I think is the tip of the old sensor.  The new sensor has definitely been rubbing but it's all intact, just a little shiny so I'm hoping it's fine.  The car brakes perfectly now and no errors.  I think the job took about 2.5h in the end. 👍🏻 I really appreciate the help in here as usual. Thanks guys.
    • I was only looking because I saw some drops on the ground but it wasn't alot. Recently had it serviced will ask the mech to confirm. Find it strange that it looks standard though, can see in another photo of a random box
