Cool Event!! I even got a passenger lap with Beau Yates in his Sprinter....Was so insane going drifting!! Loved it :)

Hope this event gets bigger and better!! DRIFTERS NEED A HOME TO GO!

Was talking to the Clerk of Course about the event and his view is these days or nights need to happen to give the drifters a place to go...

This was a good event, we always get heaps of track time and hopefully with all the drivers behaving and impressing EC they will let us keep going.

Got to say a few of my passengers seemed a little scared drifting through turns 4-8 in the dark and then out of 8, 4th gear, into the floodlights and transistioning down the hill into 9 without being able to see the track!!! (actually I was a little worried the first time I did it as you really could not see, lol)

Stay sidewayz kidz!

Dan you were driving the sureflow 300zx?? Car looks awesome :ermm:

Yeah it was pretty scary doing scando flick in the dark for turn 8..but once you got the first lap out of the way was ok..

Think EC will let you do it again...

Yeah Jess, that was me. The car has come a long way since I first turned a wheel in it back in 2007.

Next time you'll have to come and say hi to us... in between tyre changes.

I was hoping to have a run with Beau at some stage but it never worked out that way... oh well, I think we are going to the next one, at least I hope so!!!

Sure has!!! Jason said he took it for a lap too :) You look different...I didnt recognise you lol Will come say hi next time :)

I know the Clerk Of Course for the last event and he is pushing for more nights for you guys. He's on the board at ARDC..I really hope it happens and hope it takes off too..I know I had fun and enjoyed it!

Some drifters were whinging about the entry price but I can understand why it would be high..

It is pretty pricey, but hey, it's cheaper than driving to Wakefield.

There seems a really good vibe with the drivers that we want to make this work and to make EC the new home for drifting in Sydney... Hopefully one day we might even get some positive media recognition too for the off street activities that we partake in.

Do you mean GTR Jason? He took the co pilots seat for a spin, then he dissapeared pretty quick, I think he was scared out the back where he couldn't see the track, lol. :) :poke:

Stay Sidewayz Kidz!

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
