This car is in great condition and I have been exceptionally happy with it. I use it to drive to and from work, a 52km round trip, along King Georges rd daily so the odometer is a little high.

It has an aftermarket intercooler, front strut bar, boost gauge, HKS BOV and 18" wheels, 225/40ZR18 on the front, 265/35ZR18 on the rear, fitted by the previous owner and he did an excellent job doing it.

Since owning it i have added a Kenwood headunit (KDC-BT7539U) that has bluetooth built in and has a usb connection that is compatible with all iPods including the newest iPhone. The headunit runs a Clarion 4 channel amp (APX4241), currently running in bridged mode, powering Alpine splits (SPS-600C) in the front doors. On the rear parcel shelf are Sony explod 6x9's that i did not install (previous owner, not a great choice) that are just running off the headunit as they dont need, or deserve, to be amped.

I have also had installed a Mongoose MX40 alarm with kill switch hidden for starting hooked into the fuel pump relay so will start for 4 or so seconds before dying if the switch is not used. In addition to the alarm i have installed a window wind up kit that will close the windows as soon as the car is locked with the remote.

Mechanically i have replaced the coil packs, coil pack loom, spark plugs and AFM, as i was chasing a missfire that would happen randomly at idle making takeoff hard. It ended up being the coilpack loom. The front tyres were replaced in May 2009 so still have heaps of rubber on them. It has new brake pads and discs in the rear and new pads in the front as the discs could be machined, replaced this month (June). I have added a boost controller to run the car at 10psi boost and the ECU has had no problems at this setting, it runs great.

the car averages 400km to a tank but will go well over that on a trip up or down the coast, the best i have seen is 650km after a massive drive down the coast.

As a side note if you know skylines you will know that the drivers side power window can be very temperamental, so i have replaced the motor ($700 from Japan!) and relay box in the door so there are now no more problems with it.

The engine is serviced by me every 5,000km with motul engine oil and filter from just jap automotive and at the 200,000 mark i changed the diff oil, gearbox oil, and power steering and brake fluid, and had the timing belt and water pump replaced.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
