hey all, im new to this site & skylines

i recently bought a R33 GTS4 paid about 3500 for it.

i was just wondering is there a way to disable the attesa system?

and then simply just plug it in again?

or is this only the R32's?

any feedback would be greatly appreciated:)

thanks

you cannot just pull out a fuse like in the 32's. this is because their system was electrical and the 33's are hydrological.

You can drain the resovior in the boot but the safest thing to do is take out the front drive shaft.

BTW, how did you manage a 33 gts4 for 3.5k? is it damaged?

The caniser in the boot runs down to the actuator on the O\S\R of the car, it pumps fluids to the transfer case and when the slip light is activated it then runs too the rear diff and is pumped around there aswell, then back too the canister. It does this because it is a high pressured pump that activates clutch packs in the transfer case, this is how the attesa system works. Do not take the fluid out of the clutch packs with be distroid and you will have to spend a lot of money and all the parts with be EX jap.

The fluid is a ATF fluid, at nissan we sell nissan Matic D which is what they used stock.

You can take the front propeller shaft out but thats it.

how would i pull out the shafts? just pull them out

your only taking out the front shaft.

It is located under the car more towards the drivers side next to the gear box area.

there are four bolts that attach it to the car, they are in pricks of a position to get off...

the thing i do is, move one bolt at a time to the best position possible for you to reach by rolling the car, undo it and take it off, roll your car a little back or forward so the next bolt is in the same position and repeat.

when you get good at it, you can have it off in 10-15 mins if that....

As said before.

You can only disconnect the 4wd system in the R32's electronically.

In the 33 and 34 you must remove the front drive shaft.

This is the shaft from your transferbox (the thing hanging off the drivers side of the gearbox) going up to the front diff.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
