After joining SAU in 2008 and looking around for the last 2 years (and playing with my 1977 Celica), I finally jumped in and bought a 2005 (first reg 2007) V35 Sedan through Prestige. Car is in Brisbane at compliance and hopefully will arrive in Adelaide soon. :ermm: Car has only 12000 km so should be in good nick (I hope!)

No doubt I'll be asking questions soon! I"m hoping like hell the car comes with more than one key (have followed that post with interest) and that I have no hassles with window motors, etc. Will also have to choose a servicing centre in Adelaide at some stage in the next 6 months, so have also been looking at the recommendations on the forum.

Congrats on you buying a V35 skyline. I know how you are feeling at the moment. I saw my car on Monday just, before it got shipped to the compliance shop. Just waiting for the people to sign the papers really kills you. Making you wondering when are they going to be done. But, thats my story anyway Congrats on purchasing your very own skyline hope you get a good quality one and enjoy driving it. :verymad::happy::happy::happy:

Sounds like a nice car, I have a few in Japan at the moment so if you know of anyone else maybe a friend I have them starting at 340,000JPY FOB uncomplied ($4543 AUD) I also have a little over 1500 other vehicles in stock so delivery is very fast, let me know if I can help. Also I should add that I purchase vehicles direct in Japan as well via all auctions sites in Japan through our own links and should anyone you know want a particular vehicle I am happy to either guide them through or purchase on behalf and I charge no fee for this what you pay for the vehicle at auction is your end price, I am aware others charging up to $1000 which is outrageous......

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me

    • Yep four point harness. Mounted to a bolted in brace running behind the seats. Dont use it for daily driving tbh but good to have for when its needed plus it looks cool.
