Firstly, I'd like to mention it's my partners car. Although it is still a comfy drive and very very good on fuel. Any way, the questions. Q1: What are the fattest tires rims/tyres we'll fit on the car without sticking out the gaurds lots and no rubbing (car is a hatch). And Q2: What modifications can we make to get just a little bit more out of it without being stupid and ruining its drivability. Was thinking along the lines of a computer chip or new computer or something like that. Can't find much info about it so i was just wondering if any one has and suggestions or ideas. cheers

If its got the 1ZZFE 1.8L VVTi Motor, i would put a set of extractors and 2 1/4 inch hi flow exhaust right thru, alloy intake pipe with cold air box. Suspension just go for known brand spring kit. Also recommend to upgrade the clutch at the same time.

friend of mine had one with the above mods was keeping up with non sti wrxs/factory gtst with ease, pity never dyno'd or put on the strip before he sold it.

Bwahahahaaa

No, please do go on.

All this time Subaru have been wasting their money on those stupid turbos, when all they needed was a Toyota engine with a decent exhaust system

And my pathfinder keeps up with ferraris and lambos with ease

On the M1 at peak hour

Ur funny :D

did it make a noticible difference? And did ya re tune it or any thing?

It made a difference, more torque and sounded great.

Didnt retune just let the corolla ecu relearn itself and it was fine, was getting 500+kms a tank

yea i only ever ran it on 95, drove sown to geelong from sydney and back in it and was getting 600 odd a tank.

Basically the ecu would make the car run like a pig for a day or two when a mod was done then it would adjust to it and drive fine after that

yeah i just read a thread on the ecu on one of the corolla sites. It was about resetting the ecu. But seeing we've done over 4000km since we got it there'd be no point in doing that. I seen some ecu chips on the net somewhere that soposibly give a bit more power. Are they worth looking at or are they just a waste of money?

mate just leave the car alone. nothing you spend good money on will make it perform much better. if it is your mrs daily driver just leave it be. spend ya hard earned money on your skyline, leave the little toyota alone.

and harry...this is a performance car enthusiasts forum, when you speak such bollocks, people will know.

    • Agreed, I've never seen a 260RS specific manual. As GTSBoy said it will mostly be stagea other than the engine loom https://www.hgeconsulting.com.au/stageaservicemanual.pdf
    • You'lll likely have to make do with R33 GTR for engine/tranny stuff, and Stagea for the body. I don't know that there's even been an actual diagram seen in the wild.
    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
