Cheapest Place To Buy 12X1.25 Nuts - Need Long Skinny Ones (Allen Key Type)

Recommended Posts

Where is the cheapest place to buy 12x1.25 nuts - need long skinny ones (allen key type) as I want to put the starcorp 3 piece 17's I have on my 93 telstar tx5 v6 onto my R33.

Just bought the R33 yesterday so driving around on bald tyres has to be rectified asap because I dont want a yellow sticker. I work in Malaga and can swing past Balcatta easily at 8am in the morning. Not looking to spend alot, since I can just get $150 worth of used tyres on the stock rims put on.

Don't get the Allen key type. They crack and rust and are made of cheese.

Go to Richards tyrepower in Osborne park on scabs beach road and speak to Lachlan... They'll have what you need.. 50 a set last I checked that's with locknuts too

Got some from Ben at Barbagallo Tyres for $60... needed them asap =(

Richards Tyrepower wanted $70.

Thanks for your help guys. Will need some for the Telstar probably so I'll keep Taleb in mind.

Well went to put the front wheel on and it won't clear the caliper... I think they are a different offset. I am working from this info:

(Car is 93 TX5 Ghia V6 2.5)

"TX5 from 4/92....PCD is 5/114.3, offset is 35 and centre bore is 67"

another site: "TELSTAR 1988 - ON 5 X 114.3 my own measurements offset +45 to 50 center bore 70"

Would a 10mm spacer get me out of trouble (yes I understand it will get me into trouble too...)

I just bought these wheel nuts for $60 and now im not going to have a car to put them on. If a spacer will do the trick then I would rather do that then spend $160 on some used tyres... need rear tyres asap, especially with the weekend coming up.

Im sure I could just buy the spacers from a wheel shop... it's only 10mm. Rims have 215/45's on them so I might be able to get away with 15mm spacers if the TX5 Rims are a +45 offset. Im sure the standard wheel stud will be ok with a 10mm spacer, not too sure about 15mm though.

Was actually thinking of selling the car... auto gearbox is starting to give me the .........

I got told the front wheel drive offset is different to the rear wheel drive offset? Yet the cars are +40 and +45/50?? and 5x114.3

Tyre places said it doubles the stress put on the studs with spacers because the centre bore cant locate the rim?

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
