caminperth, yeah a mp3 player with a HDD would be nice... what one do you have? (not interested in building a PC to use, if i got one it would be all in the head unit like sonys) Sonys one is about 4k tho... don't really want to spend 4k on a headunit?

Speaking about mp3 players..

Half thread hijack.. :sadam:

I got the cheapy JVC KD-S785 MP3 player...

Good unit - however, since i got the suspension fixed on the car, the CD's jump everytime i hit half a pothole...

Any good mp3 decks out there with track memory to reduce this ??

my unit - http://www.ssiamerica.com/products/neo35/

I bought it about a year ago for just under 1k.. mine is the 40G model... It has no amp built in so you have to run at least one or find a head unit that accepts an auxillary input.. don't try to use the fm modulator as it is crap.

l3thal - what operating system and player do you use with your xbox? I've been using mine at home for movies and mp3's with much success and it seems a good unit for the car - though a little bulky and possibly prone to damage from vibration?

the jvc shouldnt skip at all.

especially for something like suspension no matter how stiff it is.

my old jvc kdsx895 i was shaking it around everywhere while playing to see if it skipped ant it didnt.

r u sure its not just some connections loose or somethin like that?

90% of new decks on the market today wont skip for those sorts of shocks so u have a few options infront of u .

good luck

    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
    • Ah coolant overflow, previous discussions make way more sense now lol.
    • ok. Yea, then I would need to remove the turbo and weld an adapter on to it instead, if I fuc* this one up.
    • No. Only for a standard ECU with/without Nistune. Standalone has no need for it. That's like the 3rd time I've said so.   And as to that sensor linked - yes, it does look like it would be the right one. I've never bothered to see how available they were - just assumed that they'd be hard to find. I think I'd be planning to go Link ECU rather than buy sensors I don't actually want to make Nistune work, if I did not already have Nistune. As you do not already have Nistune, you should realy consider your options.
