MITSUBISHI MIRAGE 2001 $3600 neg

XYH152 Rego till OCTOBER 2011.

The Red Rocket is up for sale. The Mirage has been good to us over the past 5 years, we'll be sad to see it go!

The car has around 203000ks on it and comes with 3 spare keys and 2 remotes for the key less entry.

My wife has driven the car to work and back most of that time and it hasn't skipped a beat. It's got 17inch mag wheels that have seen better days (scuffed and chrome flaking off), although, the tyres are almost new on the front.

New Pioneer CD palyer with AUX input and 4 6in pioneer speakers, tinted windows, factory Key-less entry, Air Conditioning, Power steering and we'll even throw in the sunshade.

The Major service, timing belt and seals were done at 180000ks, the clutch was replaced at around the same time, the slave cylinder was rebuilt and rear-main seal replaced while the clutch was being done.

We bought the car with 150000 ks on it and since that time the oil has been changed every 6 months. Coolant and brake fluid were replaced in January 2011 as well as a minor service.

For a 10 year old car you'll find that it is in pretty good nick and one of the better examples around. Paint is in good nick and the panels are straight as an arrow!

The only reason we are selling it is that we have upgraded to a bigger car to start a family, baby seats and 2 doors don't really mix.

Would make a great First car for someone, very cheap to run and very reliable so grab a bargain. Test drives and inspections welcome.

Selling car in as is condition.

    • The smart approach is to use the gearbox loom from the manual car. Makes it a lot easier - just plugs into the switches on the box and plugs into the main loom up near the fusebox. Then you only need to deal with bypassing the inhibit switch. The other approach requires you to use the wiring diagram to identify those wires by colour and location, perhaps even indulging in a little multimeter action to trace them end to end to make sure, and then.... you will have the answers you need. The R34 wiring diagram is available on-line (no, I do not have a link to it myself - I would have to do a search if I wasn't able to go to the copy I have at home).

    • @TurboTapin hey man thank you for all the info! I am about to order my cd00a today for a rb25 neo s15 build I am currently trying to get the ball rolling again on 😁 what is wrong with the Collin’s adapter? Is the bellhousing machining 15mm because that’s how thick the Collin’s adapter is or is that universal across any I decide to go with? Also do you recommend any adapter in particular? Thanks man 😃
