Hey guys, just wondering if anyone would be interested in swapping their turbo skyline( preferably a r33 ) for my 2008 Holden ssv ute.

It's black and has 115000 k's. Runs incredible not a proem with it. Reason is a little tight for money and can't really afford to keep it so want a skyline and a daily driver instead.

Any cars will be concidered :) cheers

Hey man could u pm ur number so could grab so detail would u be interested in mine I have a r33 series 2 with only 65,000 ks and in show room condition wnt find one cleaner so if u Cld pm me asap wld be awesome

You wanna swap on 08 ssv ute for a skyline without a cash adjustment on top? how does this make you any less tight for money? Surely a skyline would cost similar if not more to upkeep then your ute?

Actually yes your right really should have put that in there! Definatly cash my way if it's needed. And it depends how your drive it really. Ve as will sit at about 16L/100k's.

And most lightly modified skylines I would imagine would be be between 11 and 12L/100k's. But I do want to work on my cars so skylines are easier and cheaper to do so cause there is heaps out there :)

Cheers

no worries. i thought that was a bit odd!! hahaha was gonna offer you my skyline if that was the case! I wish my skyline got 11L/100kms most ones ive come across do about 14-15L/100km

What about an Evo 7 with a Tomei 2.3ltr engine, RS gearbox, HKS 3037S turbo kit, HKS IC, HKS Oil cooler,

Haltech PS1000, Evo 9 rear bar, tail lights and wing, E9 headlights, e9 interior.

The list goes on.

Makes 316kw atw on pump fuel with plenty more there if you want.

You should post up pics and your location. I despise holdens but am slightly interested in a black V8 with working air con so i might be interested depending on location.

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
