Just an update.

This game is seriously awesome. I pretty much spent all weekend (that's how cool I am) playing it. The game is not about crafting at all, or even building pretty buildings, its about exploring. There is just so much shit to find, and its not pointless boring stuff either. You can literally look anywhere. I mean there are floating islands in the sky with awesome loot hidden on them. Great co-op game too. Highly recommend DLing it with a friend and start playing it together if you have the chance.

Only downside is after a weekend's worth of playing I've almost found everything. I still need to get the final tier armor and break into the main dungeon but its very difficult to achieve solo. However the game was only just released (selling over 50,000 copies in the first day) and they plan on making constant updates.

IMHO this is winning vs Minecraft... at least until adventure mode cones out
