Hey guys, I just checked the weather and it said possible shower. At least it's not thunder storm. There might be partly shower and doesn't look too bad. Hopefully, our meet area get spared. I already got all BBQ things sorted if it's all good to go ahead.

I will update first thing tomorrow morning with weather in the area. If it's looking bad by then and some of the owners decide not to come, it's understandable. Just let me know.

Hopefully it's just early and partly shower. If it's all good tomorrow, I will see you guys.

Hey everyone, I woke up to the rain this morning. :( I will update again at 12pm.

If it does not stop raining by then, we won't be able to have BBQ. So do anyone of you guys want to postpone this meet to next Sunday same time if the weather is good?

same here.....i reckon we postpone it..........already the number is small and on top, the weather is crap...so possibilities that members may not be able to make it....can't take any photos closedeyes.gif. but i will leave the decision to victor....i am in for any option......updated list plz ......

Hey everyone, the rain stopped now but still looks like it will rain again.

So it looks like we might have to postpone the meet to next Sunday. If that's the case, can I please get replies from everyone who planned to come today that they are updated? So I know everyone is updated.

I will update this thread asap after I check the weather for next Sunday.

Sorry about the inconvenience, guys. Please let me know.

Thank you.

A nice shower for my lawn this morning and the BoM site is forecasting more frequent showers again this afternoon. Real shame but I guess next weekend is a better option. Count me in.

Hey everyone.

Yes, it will be next Sunday, same time and place. But let me confirm it again on coming Tuesday after checking how the weather forecast will pen out. It looks like there will be showers for coming week. Hopefully, it will clear before coming weekends.

Hi everyone,

QLD V-series owners meet-and-greet had been postponed due to bad weather. Following is updated.

Location: Grand Tce (Off Jarvis Rd), Waterford, 4133

(Parking on Grand Tce next to BBQ/Play ground)

Date: 28-08-2011 (Sunday) - [TBC coming week]

Time: 3:00pm - 4:30pm

Please post if you are interested. I will provide a BBQ. If anyone coming want to bring foods over, you are most welcome to do so as well.

Looking forward to it.

Thank you.

I don't think I will be making it down there next weekend either, living so far away makes it a little difficult -.- but I may change my mind towards the end of the week, but it would be better for me if it was earlier in the day as I would have to head off after the event back 600km's up the road lol :P

Thanks for updating. The weather here is on an off (underwood). Will aim for next week then.

Sure, mate. Shall see you there if you can make it.

The weather sure is funny. It's now sunny! :(

Yeah, I thought of you guys from Northside as well. We will definitely need to do something where most owners from north and south can enjoy together. I will try to plan something out one day.

Regarding the time of the meet, the main reason I chose 3pm was because of the BBQ. Mostly, people occupy that BBQ spot during lunch time. If you can't make it this time, I will make sure that the time is more appropriate next time.

I do have an idea. If you decide to come, you can come earlier and I can be there. :)

Unfortunate about the weather, I won't be able to make it to the next one.

Yeah, sorry about the inconvenience mate. Please let me know if anything changes.

Thanks.

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow

    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
