Service History

I purchased the car in May 2010 and I am the first registered owner. The car had 72,324km on it when it arrived in Australia.

Serviced every 5000km by Waterhouse Auto Care in Penrith

Battery replaced in late 2010

Starter motor replaced at 90,000km

100,000km service done including new timing belt, all fluids and other belts replaced

Wheel alignment and balance done at 106,182km

CV boots and front link pins replaced at 108,198km

The Bad

The gearbox has just started making a slight vibration when changing into 2nd and 3rd. I had his checked out by my mechanic and he believes that a bearing has gone in the gearbox. In order to pull the gearbox out and rebuild it the cost will be approximately $1800 through my mechanic. You may be able to get this cheaper through your mechanic or if you do it yourself. I will transfer the balance of the warranty to the new buyer (see notes below)

Car Warranty

I chose a 3 year warranty on the car when I bought it and the warranty expires on 8/5/13. This warranty is transferrable and is through National Warranty Company. I have not had to make any claims.

Please contact Matt on 0402 279 615 if you are interested in coming to take a look

Price is negotiable. I am possibly interested in a swap with cash my way on either a Corolla OR Pulsar only. I am looking at something no more than $5k on a daily runabout.

Reason for sale is that I am getting a new work car next year.

Thanks for looking.

Matt

    • Hi GTSBoy, Excuse my ignorance but what does a "Bad" Knee point mean ?
    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
