Hey All,

I'm Gibbon138 but will answer to Gibbo, Gibbon, Gibbs or on occasion Jake.

I've been into rotaries for years but due to moving into an apartment and losing my garage i've gotten myself an R33 GTS25T S1 (slightly more reliable than the rotaries and way more fuel efficient)

So far the R33 has: 3.5" turbo back exhaust, pod filter, (unknown brand)piggyback ecu, and a massive terrible atmo' venting bov (yes i am getting rid of it, thanks for asking)

So this is Hi.

See you around, or out on the streets.

Cheers

Gibbon138

I'll get the minister for war and finance to lend me her camera so I can get some decent snaps, plans at this point are:

1. plumbed back BOV

2. return flow intercooler

3. airbox for the pod

4. turbo timer, defi boost+oil pressure+water temp guages

5. boost controller + wind boost out to 10psi

6. refinish the wheels (a fair bit of gutter rash on there)

7. 400r (knockoff) bodykit

8. exedy pillow button clutch

9. tien coilovers

10. project mu brakes

and we'll see how we go from there.

I'll attempt to get those snaps this week between work, more likely end up being the weekend though as i'm a night shift worker...

Cheers

G

Yeah thanks man,

The wife is pretty good with most things (it was her that told me to get my R1)

but her camera is another question entirely.

In the big scheme of things I'm hoping for 200rwkw on the stock turbo.

If I have to upgrade the fuel system etc on the way I will but that's more of a "by the way" thing than a

"Ooo ooo New fuel pump" thing.

Once I get sick of 200kw though; further mods are anyone's guess

Cheers

G

For!

Love the look of it mate good work.

Mine will be full matte black with matte black rims in the next few months

Ha, good stuff man, I look forward to seeing it.

sweet, only looks good if the thing is tuckin a bit of rim, otherwise looks odd. matte black ftw!

There are a few more things than that missing but I agree she does sit a bit high at the mo'

    • That looks good, but I think you're going to need much beefier side skirts now.
    • They are daft and there's a reason it never caught on. Steering feel? We don't need no stinking steering feel!
    • I gotta pull you up on this. It's driving me crazy. A shutter is something that closes, like over a window or in a cmera. The word you want is shudder. That LSD is clearly f**ked. Take it to a diff shop and get it disassembled and examined by an expert. YOu might have plates welded together or something equally crazy.
    • Define "starting to fail". Wy not just rebuild them?
    • Check the Nistune doco. There are a few assumptions being made here that might not be valid. I will list the things that occur to me: Base map. Base map for what? Base map for Z32? Then the cranking pulse width is probably wrong for an RB25. The extra 500cc of capacity might well be enough to prevent it from catching. Base map for RB25? I don't think you can load one of those into a Z32. You have to just make the settings correct for an RB25 in the Z32 base map. That is either K or the TIM to get the pulsewidth right. Loom. You bought a loom for an RB. And you plugged it into a Z32 ECU. Did you make sure that any iwre differences were swapped. From memory, there's at least a couple. And as per the others, I would suggest making sure that the fuel pressure is correct while cranking and that the injectors are actually flowing as expected. They really must come out and go on the bench, unless you do find that you have messed up as per above points. I would also suggest watching in Nistune to make sure that everything is reading correctly. That the correct binary flags are raised at the right time (like the crank signal), that there's no stupid values in K or TIM. That you have not got mismatched firmware for the ECU and/or a wrong image loaded.
