ocean
wow this is an old post ... heh pm'd again An oldy but a goody.. Would this belt suit a car with metal head gasket (unknown thickness) and possibly cams? Or would i be better off with an aftermarket part? Are these standard nissan belts upto the stress of a fairly modified car? Thanks, -Patrick Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/42934-gtr-engine-bits/#findComment-1042150 Share on other sites
yamaha227
As far as i know the genuine nissan belts are a good thing, the use of a metal head gasket although it may be slightly thicker than standard wont cause any problems. Cam choice has no effect as the cam wheels are still the same diameter, nissan obviously designed the belt for their engines, so cant imagine it being a problem. let me know, cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/42934-gtr-engine-bits/#findComment-1043354 Share on other sites

I just want to make sure i'm getting the right thing for my car.
