how about some figures on the pump..... in tank bosch 044 pumps are cheaper installed and we all know what they can flow...SHEDLOADS.

what kind of performer is the HKS pump?

well all i can tell you is that this pump flows 280L/H which is 125% better than std as claimed by HKS i have been told that they can support upto 800bhp by some reputable tuners in brisbane... some say the std pump handles 600bhp no probs

and the flow rate does not get affect much by the boost pressure as your o44 pump can... it also has the built in pressure regulator looking thing as the standard pump... and fits in the standard spot with out mod's

it has the same flow rates as the apexi, nismo and all the other brand name pumps but tomei pump with the same flow rate has been recommended to handle upto 1000bhp of fuel. because i never got to use it in my car that is all that i can tell you..

thanks for the info....

I dont all that much about pumps except that alot of people swear by the 044. I am looking at upgrading to an intank pump before the end of next week. I only have the standard pump and i have been told i need atleast 300-320 L/H to keep up with my injector and air flow rates.

Thanks

TG

i don't know if this info will help you but if you need that kind of flow the 044 is not capable of delivering that. i went through all the trouble when i was upgrading my car. without knowing what BHP your trying to achieve i can't comment anymore, the standard pump will flow easy 500bhp at the motor belive it or not. and in intank form the 044 by it self will do about 600bhp at 1.5 bar pressure with HKS 2540 turbos. that was why i got the HKS pump just to make sure that the pump is not over worked as it was rated at 800bhp. so i think you should find out bit more information about what you really need befor you spend any money.... if you are gonna keep the motor stock bosh 044 or the hks or any other brand name will do but if you are gonna go further it might pay to get a surge tank and maybe run twin 044's

just my suggestion

cheers.

Andrew

engine is not stock and from what you have stated, obviously my car is not running the standard fuel pump in it. My car is making over 420 rwhp which is about 550hp at the engine. Perhaps an 044 would be a step backwards, but i doubt it!

I have seen a car make over the 550 rwhp figure claiming a single bosch 044 fuel pump feeding the rail.

TG

like i said i'm only telling you what i been told by others

and yes i have seen standard pump do 600bhp at the engine and the bosh 044 do 800bhp also but not sure how reliable it is. i have only told you what has been recommed by the manufactures so please don't take offence to what i have told you

i only did it to try and save you some time in researching

like i said it was just some info....

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
