250gt V36 Trim Removal And Repair Help Please.

I got a V36 250GT recently and didn't notice before I bought it that the trim beside the aircon on each side was proud. When I first noticed it I assumed it would be easy to pop back into place so wasn't worried however this weekend I had a closer look and found the problem.

The plastic outer skin and foam (about quarter inch) has come away from the ABS plastic of the panel and won't just clip back into place. Looks like the only fix is going to be to remove the panels and glue the two parts of the trim back together properly.

Now if I could get the panels out of the car that would probably be pretty simple but I got a few panels in and still saw no end in sight (I had the shift boot off, the stereo / aircon controls off, the surround for the shifter off before I gave up)...

Can anyone help with pointers on just how much disassembly I would have to do to get these out cleanly please?

hmm, id be keen to know as well. My LH one is sitting slightly proud too
