Good-day everyone. I am a new member & I have a simple question. Is the performance from the RB20DET AUTECH version different to the regular RB20DET ??????? I purchased a AUTECH RB20DET the front is purple not black, it even has ports for two additional injectors on the intercooler plumbing. Unfortunately someone stole my brain. Replaced it with a RB20DET but some how I think performance would be compromised. Anyone know for sure??????????

You can take heart in the fact that the Japanese Autech computer would have been tuned for different conditions and fuel, and you would probably have had to get an adjustable computer to tune it for your local conditions. What sort of fuel can you get in Trinidad?

The additional injectors would have been controlled by an aftermarket controller, there's no provisions in the standard (or modified standard) ECU system to run 8 injectors.

Thank-you for your response. It is comforting to have you guys and your priceless experience to consult about these matters. we get RON 92 & 96 I believe, and aircraft fuel, is it good for anything??? There aren't that many RB20DET knowledgable people in Trinidad.
