depends what gear youre in

high gear and a hill will produce a high load at low rpm, hence, boost

try it on the freeway....sit on 5th and hit the pedal a bit...boost will rise quick but it wont feel like youre on boost

then stick it in 3rd and give it the same load. the car will feel more responsive but will be on less boost.

less torque, low rpm....ie climbing a hill, need boost to get up hill

hope that makes sense

This question has been posted over and over particularly to Skyline newbies. Your stock boost gauge is NOT in psi unit. If you look closely they were marked at 100mHg unit. +7 (the max) is 7x100=700mmHg unit or approximately 14psi.

So if you're accelerating hard and it goes up to what you think is +4 psi, it's NOT 4psi but 400mmHG or approximately 7 or 8psi, which is normal stock boost.
