Hi, I just tried installing a jvc deck in my R33. Now every time I turn the car on the deck stays on for about 10-15 secs then turns off.

Does anybody have any idea on what would be causing this?

did you solder all the connections or did you just tape it??

Youve probably wired it wrong,

Check that you have wired it into the light switch.

Sometime you can accidentlly use the wire that switches the deck dimmer on (with the headlights) as an earth.

Be sure to earth straight to a metal part of the chasis.

As I recommend to everyone who is having a car stereo problem,

check the wiring, then double check it and then triple check it.

Then if all that fails. get soome one else to check it.

I have just installed my 785 today and found that if you do not earth to the vehicle you will blow numerous fuses...not good.

When you turn it on is every thing reset back to normal? Like volume, track number etc.. I f so check that you have the power and continuous power in the right connections.

Mine works fine and was great value for money...
