Hay guys,

Just wanted to ask what you would recommend (preferably through fisrt hand experience) what the best method is for increasing KW@rears to about 220 - 250.

At the moment i would estimate i have 180.

I have a 92 gts-t with:

2 3/4" from cat back

hybrid i/c

bov

greddy elec boost controller (set to 11psi low - 14psi hi)

550 kw bosch fuel pump

other than that she's basically stock

I was advised that for around $2300 supply &fit I would get 220 for:

- injectors

- adustable cam gears

- GT25 turbo

So for roughly the same ball park figure what would you suggest I do?

Much appreciated..

hmm i would of thought with ur current mods on an RB20 i assume, u'd have 150-160max rwk. I highly doubt u could get to 220 with those extra mods. For one u'll need a computer, clutch....and i reckon 22o is pushing the gt25 turbo.

Interesting to hear other people's comments

So easy to quote KW figures yet there so unreliable when you think about it.

I reckon you got maybe 155 to 160 max from personal experience.(depending on dyno)

ontop of what you been quoted bank on atleast on another 2k for things like Engine management fuel reg and cams. (cam gears aint much good without Cams to dial in on an RB20)

220 to 250 is asking alot from an rb20 dont get me wrong the rb20 is stron but getting that reliably might be alot more work. read expensive than you think.

my 2c

I have a TRUST TDo5/TDo6 turbo for sale as a bolt on kit for $1300. It comes with turbo, modifyed standard manifold, Trubosmart 45mm wastegate all oil lines intake pipe to connect to afm dump pipe and front pipe aswell as screamer pipe. I am doing a 2jzgte into my R32 gtst so i no longer need this. With a chip or ems you will easily get the power you are wanting. I got 318hp atw (238kw atw) on 15psi with only a 3inch exhaust and a small shot of gas (stock computer, injectors, intercooler and what ever else comes stock on a R32). This was through

an automatic as well. If you are interested i can send you photos. BTW price is not negotiable as this is already a good deal.

realisticly i think with your current setup you would be looking at about 170 rwkw's but you havent mentioned what you are using to control your 550 cc injectors coz if you have nothing then i would have to say you current setup will be about 150-160rwkw and your car will be running hell rich for nothing.

220 is too much to ask from the mods that you have listed but 200 is quite achievable and would be quite reliable. hope this helps :)

As th others have said, You really need to look into firstly, tunable computer PowerFCs a good start, then injectors, then turbo prolly aim for larger than a Gt25... maybe a Gt30. Just do your research it helps indefinatly.

I have an Rb25 with a hi flowed custom made type of Gt25 and im only just pushin 221rwkw

car has great response (being a drift car thats what I aimed for) but on the 2l smaller block that you have you'll need a good turbo manifold to spool a bigger turb and more fuel to the mix to turn out that kinda power.

    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
