Strut Brace won't fit!

hey guys, i just put an rb25 into my r32 and found that the strut brace won't fit over the top of the plenum.

Do all strut braces provide the same amount of clearance?

Can anyone recommend a strut brace that will fit?

It's a common problem as the plenum sits a little higher on the rb25. You can give whiteline a go as they can manufacture custom strut braces on request.

Mine fit luckily, but it isn't a name brand and came on the car so i can't really help out there. It's only got a few mil clearance though.

this happened to me but it wasn't the motor

when we put my c/f bonnet on the strut brace that was on there to high so i went out an got a whiteline one abd that was fine

the one i took off might fit your car

Take it to anyone who bends tube. A small amount of extra bend , at each existing bend will give any [reasonable] amount of clearance you want . It will alter the amount of thread you use only a negligable amount. Just hold it in position, and visualise it, and you'll see what I mean.

How do you think the one in there got bent? Probably a "proper" one is the same as he has, with different angle bends. How else do you raise the height? Magic?
