Don't blame them one bit. At the same time, no one here is going to be a part of it if they want to control it. Like skyzer said, the name isn't registered here so we can form our own club.

I think it's best if we worked together though, not them controlling us. Success in numbers!

I don't believe that the NZ'ers want to control the whole deal, the forums thing was just needing a big clean up. I think if you were to ask, you would find that they are happy for you's to use the SDU name, be affiliated, but still be your own entity.

Impul 25T,

Dude, I'd love to be a part of some affiliation with them. They have been through everything that we will be going through shortly & we can learn so much from their mistakes. Some people are just cut up about the whole forum thing at the moment but once it all blows over I'm hoping they will see the wisdom of working together.

And yeah, we will definately be our own entity. Keeping this fact in mind I can draw two conclusions.

1. We need our own forum & www, for obvious reasons

2. Since we have our own forum and www, we might as well have our own identity

At the end of the day mate I don't care if we call ourselves 'Skylines Seven Sins' as long as we have a club!

Wise words.

Also remember, that it was mentioned quite a while ago that Aussie wanted to found a chapter, it was discussed and help was offered, but when push came to shove, nothing ended up happening. I really hope that some form of the club, wether it be SDU AU or whatever else, starts up in Aus and when it does, use the info that the kiwi based club members have. Like you said, they have been there, use the knowledge.

    • You do sorta. In my instance they were little specs and I didn't even think they'd be pin holes but it all makes sense now. Huge learnings there!
    • Ah ok that makes sense and it's where i think i went wrong because before when i put filler then putty, i didn't have this issue and now i do because i only put 1 coat of putty. Thanks for that heaps man, it's a good way to put it! With my putty I'm using the dolphin glaze which i just saw it says finishing putty lol. I didnt put filler cause it was a shallow area but i see what you're saying. Also I'm an idiot, i just realised that while i put new putty there are pinholes! I probably saw it before and ignored it for whatever reason. I feel silly now haha. ok I think I know what to do next. Thanks man!
    • Yes correct, the guide coat is showing low spots, in this instance the low spots are pin holes. I agree wetting the areas makes it more visible (but you can see it's there before you wet it as well lol).  Once the panel is flat, the guide coat will be gone
    • I wouldn't do it outside, the contamination landing in the paint, the wind and a million other things will drive you crazy.     That's a way too big of an area to use your single stage putty on.  Pretend it's all filler and those pin holes appeared, you'd then use the putty on those pin holes.  They are still pin holes, hmm I expect a few coats of high fill primer could deal with those.
    • Oh i think i made some progress! Just fixed another simpler dent and the guidecoat is gone even when the area is wet! The filler shape now resembles that of the dent if that makes sense so it's flat. The photos are before during and after The only issue, i think i can feel a low spot lol.
