Price Drop

Hey Guys,

I've rebuilt an RB26 for my R33 GTST so i have an almost complete RB25 for sale... I'm willing to sell the engine complete or separate for parts...

Performance Parts:

Subzero Plenum - This is a custom made plenum from Subzero in QLD... It uses the runners from the standard plenum with bellmouths at the top of each runner... This plenum is a tried and proven item which ran in Try9s 9second car... The other thing i noticed was that the throttle response improved dramatically (many people thought so too)... The plenum comes with standard GTR injectors, a dual feed custom fuel rail and Ford throttle body (80mm or 90mm) with antilag kicker solenoid and throttle cable... - $1100

3in Dump and Front Pipe for standard turbo - $200

Apexi AVC-R boost solenoid (old school) - $200

Stock Parts:

Standard Turbo with or without manifold - $300

VCT Head with powder coated rocker covers (no coils) - $300

Standard bottom end, fine except ring lands broken - $400

If your interested in anything, let me know and i'll see what i can do for you...

Location:Perth

Reason for Selling:Rebuilt RB26

Payment Conditions:Buyer pays for postage

y use that plenum when you had a stock turbo?

Because i didn't want to have an extra metre and a half of piping, also the plan back then was to put a Garrett GT30 on, but that didn't happen then... The biggest thing i noticed, was the throttle response difference i got between the standard plenum and the new one... Was a massive improvement...

what computer were you running ?

I'm keen on plenum and injectors just not sure how the injectors will work.

what needs to be done to use this plenum and injectors on r33 gts-t

thanx

I'm running an Autronic SM2...

The plenum will bolt straight onto the head no problems... As for the injectors, from memory they will not work on the standard GTST computer, but i think a resistor pack is required to change the impedance... If you do a quick search for standard GTR injectors and see what people have done with them, you'll quickly find the answer... :D

    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
    • Quite right, if you make it to that pension you deserve every cent
    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
