Rebuilding Engine

I don't believe the RB20's real problem is its lack of capacity.

Its the lacking the ability to breath well once over 200rwkw. Headwork bigger valves or simply grab a RB25DE leave the head stock and rebuild the 2.5ltr bottom end.

Advan in sydney said they made a bit over 400rwhp with a rb20 that had stock rods and crank, i assume they were preped though.

Having it make the power, and then have it do at a good slab of track days are two different things

IMO thats risking it. Might not be but i prefer to be safe as if a rod lets go...

Thats the beginning of all sorts of possible problems

it wont be a track car but i need it to be reliable. I want to be able to boost up to 300hp@the wheels and my engine to be strong enough to handle it and last a long time. So do i need rods then.... ?????
