Hey peoples,

Im after some info on suspension. I dont really need sports suspension because my R33 is just a daily driver not a performance car, I would want it to handle a little bit better but mainly im after an overall lowered look. I have the 17'' R34 GTT rims on it and i'd want to drop it about 1"-1.5".

There is a bloke selling King Spring's (Super Lows) now I have heard so many different opinions about these springs.

I would be still riding with the standard shocks because they seem to be fine.

Any advice, ideas or even pics if any1 has will be much appreciated...

Thanks,

-Dave.

There is currently a Group Buy on R33GTST Whiteline/Bilstein suspension, great kit for road use. Check out the Group Buy Forum.

:P cheers :D

I dont think coilovers is what he is after, especially since he just wants it to be lowered daily driver.

Whiteline springs is what I would recommend and maybe throw some swaybars in and get a good wheel alignment. Done!

alright guys ive made my decision...I'll sit at home for the next few weekends, save some cash and go for the bilstein/whiteline...

SydneyKid- What configuration would you recomend, considering I want it to look low, but still be able to get up driveways without taking of the front bar.

Cheers buddy,

Hi Dave, around 350 mm centre of wheel to guard is the lowest height I would recommend. This allows enough travel to absorb the bumps and doesn't upset the suspension geometry so the tyre wear is good. The Bilsteins in the Group Buy come with extra lower spring seat circlip grooves (have a look at the Stagea suspension thread for pictures), this means you can adjust the height by 50 mm if you find the 350 mm is too low foryour usual driveways.

Cheers

Gary
