nigelswazi
Hi i had a lil accident and bent my right hicas rod need to change it. I had no problems removing it. Now im fitting the new one, no troubles connecting it to the hicas unit the squarish end, just having trouble with the part that connects to the ball joint hub bit. Now it slides over easy but when I try to put the nut on and turn the hub ball joint bit turns too so I can't get the nut on. Any ideas? How do u do this properly the rest is sweet. Thanks any help would be appreciated. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/88384-fitting-new-hicas-tie-rods/ Share on other sites
blind_elk
Try adjusting it so there is a bit of lateral stress on the joint - that should help lock it in position while you tighten the nut.
