Brakes Pads Make A Woosh Sound

I have had an r32 gtst for a few months now and when I drive, there is this woosh sound. Its kind of like metal scraping. I was told that the brake pads are uneven. The braking is pretty ordinary for an r32.

It was recommended that they get sanded down and that the brakes efficiency will increase by 50 percent.

Is this true and should I do this or get new pads instead?

bite the bullet and get new pads

as there is no asurance that sanding or grinding the pad will make a diff and also the money you spend getting them done will be better put to use for new pads as the ones that are sanded will have to be replaced soon anyway

just my 2 bob anyway
