  1. thanx guys for the replies. It ended up being the ground wire, afm and connection to the ecu. The mechanic charged me 780 all up. He removed the afc, put on a new afc and changed the wire going to the ecu. The car now idles at 0.8 revs where as before it was at 1000 and above revs. Is this ok?
  2. thanks for the replies. If the crank angle sensor is gone, could it be the reason for showing the fault between the air flow meter and ecu on mechanics computer which he has found. Is it in the loom? Currently the mechanic is looking at the earths between the ecu and air flow meter.
  3. Hi guys, I have an r32 gtst. After about 20 minutes of driving, the car will start to play up, the revs will rise at idle, then jerk if I give it gas, then the car will shut down. It will then start up fine again and play up 2 minutes later. I took it to the mechanic who has put in a new air flow meter and fuel filter, and his computer still says there is a problem (after driving for a while) between the ecu and afm. He is currently checking the these wires, as he also disconnected a AFC I had on the car which I suspected was dodgy. I recently changed the coolant myself and managed to only put in 4.5 litres. During this process, I also poured alot of water around the engine and through the coolant inlet in the firewall. *So im thinking maybe I F#@ed the coolant temperature sensor. *Or its probably the crank angle sensor is gone, because after the coolant change, the area around it made a light scratchy sound eased only when I sprayed WD40 around it. The noise kept comming back though. *Or it could be a bad fuel pump or wires in the around the ecu is gone. Please help out as this is my daily, my parents dont drive, and I may have to leave my job if this problem is unsolved by the middle of next week. Should I take it to Nissan?
  4. I opened the object a the bottom 2 pics and I thought it was an amp
  5. Im in the same situation except I wanna prevent getting caught first. I am looking for the pipe on an rb20 which doesent have the bov hole
  6. I am looking to remove my BOV which is on the pipe just before the intercooler pipe. I was looking for the exact pipe which doesnt have the BOV hole. Its the pipe that comes after the crossover pipe over the engine (which has the plumback BOV) and before the intercooler pipe. thanx
  7. as the topic states, does the skyline r32 have a ff free floating axle, diff thanks
  8. Ive had mine for 1 year now.The car is undergoing a status change. By that I mean that it is my pride and joy now, but it will become my daily when I get a newer car by christmas.
  9. I used the same motul gear 300 oil for my gear box with my car which is an r32 gtst with viscous lsd. is this bad????
  10. mine too was stuck, and after months of trying, I finally loosened it
  11. what a horror story shaund. What about rust around the battery tray?
  12. I let it warm for 5 minutes, then for the first 10 minutes of driving, I shift the gears slowly and gently like a surgeon.
  13. Hi guys. As the topic states. Questions are though is I looked at the manual of the r32 gts-t, and it states standard battery is 34B19R- optional is 80D26R. I wanna know if you r32 owners out there abide by the manual and get the recomended one, or do you get bigger batteries for your cars, but different model. Also I go to Super cheap and theres a battery model for the skyline (83-89) model but none for later models r32, r33? whats up with that? what do I do?
