The post about hail and a few people getting their cars dinged up reminded me that I was going to put something up about the Dent King in Philip.

Dropped in to get a quote for fixing a couple of small dings a few Saturdays ago, ended up getting it done on the spot and was very happy with the results. The guy who did the work was Chris, a top bloke who works with his Dad out of their private garage in Philip, not far from the CIT.

Had one dent about 40mm diameter in the rear quarter panel which Chris made disappear completely, also pulled out a couple of small dings in a door caused by car park retards.

I should point out that Chris doesn't do paint - so if the paint work is damaged he will refer you to someone else. Having said that he did manage to make a pretty bad dent in my passenger door a lot less noticeable, to the extent that I can probably just get the paint touched up now instead of forking over the $370 a panel beater quoted me for respraying the whole door.

Overall, his prices are very reasonable compared to some of the alternatives.

Oh, and his mobile number is 0417 469885 or you can find him in the Yella Pages or on the web at www.dentking.com.au.

hmm i need to get one pushed out of my rear lower panel which i still have no idea how it got there. I rang him up and asked if it would be cheaper if we got multiple people to get some dints knocked out he said they could probably sort something out but we need to take the cars in for them to make an assesment i will probably be taking mine in for a look sometime in the next week.

    • Hey all, a little help from the Stagea hive mind plz.. I'm days away from buying either a 2002 Stagea 250tRS AR-X Four, premium leather, power seats and all the old switches etc that go with it, or a 2002 Stagea 250tRS VR-X Four AERO, pov pack, cloth seats etc, with coil overs, sports zorst, comes with original zorst and suspension and parts. (I think I've got the models right?) Both are VQ25DET, have 160000kms, both straight no rust both with $2000+ in recent servicing receipts, both ride on aftermarket 18" rims. The Aero has a replaced turbo as well. I like the cool factor of the Aero car but the AR-X has never been modified. Neither have been driven hardly at all in the last 5 years. Any thoughts on which one or does it come down to personal preference? davemoto

Have called impound yards & tow truck operators, no where to be found while I was away overseas! Plates DXPRS1 custom dark green on yellow back. Has a rear lip boot spoiler on the back as well.
