hey guys. ive had some trouble with some real heavy power steering since i installed a new head unit in my 32 4door. i dont know if its coincidence or not but its only been since i had a lot of fuse issues due to trying to splice into the original loom for an earth.. (you cant do that by the way, i learnt the hard way <_< ) so has anyone else encountered this and know whats goin on or do i just need a new pump and it has nothing to do with my backyard stereo work? any help would be greatly appreciated B)

Have you checked the ECU for error codes yet?

Do that, if nothing returns, make sure there is sufficient p/s fluid in the reservoir and the belt is still turning the pump. Check to make sure the p/s pressure switch is still plugged in. It is located just behind the alternator on top of the crossmember.

Does it make any noises when turning or just heavy?

Also how heavy is it exactly? Just slightly heavier than normal or just like driving with the car turned off?
