Carbon Blast

Hi everyone,

I had my car in for a service the other day, and one of the "extra" things they quoted for was a Carbon Blast. I can understand what it does, however I'm looking to find out how it is performed.

Is it a simple fuel additive they use or is there a proper procedure? And what is $70 to do the job like?

Thanks,

Dave.

usually all it is is them pulling a vacuum hose off the inlet manifold and sucking auto transmission fluid (i think thats what they use?) in through the vacuum hose which then goes through the manifold/pistons etc and cleans them...

i remember in my VK i used a 50/50 mix of kero and water, poured down the throat of the carby, but slightly different procedure there
