I'm only entering if it's wet -
I know they're book in as a support catagory for the 12hr. Not sure about the 1000 though, haven't seen anything for that.

Great day had by all. Huge thanks to the Exec. team for organising a fantastic day. Ran really smoothly and the friendly turn out just added to the fun. The little Proton ran flawlessly all day and drove home with out a problem which was a bonus. The drive to work this morning was a little more interesting with the brakes obviously deciding that they'd done enough work and had gone on holidays so I should probably pick up some a new set. Only issue I had all day was the wheel falling off jack as I was draging it across the carpark, but what can you expect from Super Cheap. Hope everyone had as much fun as I did and I'll see you all at the next one.

Entry forms and payment sent.

No you don't want progressive spring rates on race car. We run 9.8kg front springs and 7.6kg rear springs on our 32gtr and that works quite well. But we used to run it mostly at oran park which was very bumpy and it used to handle very nicely. So it maybe too soft if the circuits are smooth. Best to talk to a suspension guru who deals with race cars not road cars and has knowledge/experiance at the tracks you use. Get their advice on a ball park rate, start there and try a few different spring rates to see what your driving style responds best to.

I'll enter the proton tomorrow

You're wasting your time with V8SC slicks. You'll need 11inch wide rims (can use them on a 10 but wouldn't go any narrower) and with the stiff springs you run, lack of body stiffness (ie no roll cage) and the massive side wall they have, the car will be bouncing around like a pogo stick.

That's the funniest thing I've seen in ages!

Ah the joys of owning a modified import. So my brother little pulsar is having cooling issues that we haven't been able to sort in time so it's not going to make. As a result we're going to double enter my car. Do I just need to sort this out with the scrutineers on the day or do I need to contact someone prior? -

I've got both so I'll just use the AASA, but I was more concerned with signing on and the officials trying to make me pay the non-members price because I didn't have a valid members card. -

I haven't received my current membership card yet. Will this be a problem when signing on? -

I'm pretty sure it was registered and back on the road 3 or 4 weeks after he picked it up from you. -

Just payed for 2 spots. Forms have been emailed in. Now I just need to organise tyres, brakes, sway bars, a wheel alignment and I'll be set. -
Yeah I think you will have to roll the guards. Ours were already rolled and it was awhile ago that we tried them so I can't remember exactly how close they were.
