  1. do they make much profit out of defecting us?
  2. the "hi oku" at my town's big servo was 104ron, i think. it was called hyakuyon (=104 in english) so im assuming that it was talkin bout the octane rating.
  3. i'm not really a daily drifter (no cash 4 tyres etc...) but i can't help but notice my 32 is a bit tricky to drift (please refrain from saying "that's probably because ur a sh#t drifter"). i have standard worn lsd and mismatched(springrates + shocks) lowered suspension which definately doesn't help. probably a safe bet that a fair few people on this forum drive a 32 and i wouldn't mind hearing what u have to say. unfortunately i have no other car to base a comparison but i have noticed that r32 drift cars are not very common (in comparison to sr20 based cars) in japan. is the 32 a good drift base? current mods to my 32 = fmic, hd clutch, pod, boost up, full exhaust. next on the list is coilovers and drift based lsd. if anyone here has done these mods i would appreciate before and after comments. cheers.
  4. oh yeh, i was sayin i like the BN/Vertex kits, not that i don't like them.
  5. maxx: when i made mention to "batman chome wheels" i was sorta talkin more about the ones that look like they have been designed by a toddler who is just learning to draw. u know the ones with no dish and and "fancy" designs. if it's a wheel, it should look like a wheel. every man to his own though aye. funkymonkey: those gramlights ur talkin bout... are they the gl57f pro's... mine will be ariving next week. damn! i thought i was goin to be the only 1!! oh well.
  6. i dunno whether its just my perspective or not but i think that in the past year or 2 the emphasis on imports has headed strongly towards drifting. i remember when i first got into imports. it was so cool to put a gtr badge on ur car, get batman chrome wheels and a veilside bodykit. even i thought so. i like a bit of tasteful rice i.e. BN/ vertex body kits, minus rear wing and dished jap rims but i really don't see the appeal of making ur car look like a dodgey batmobile. Have chrome wheels and batman body kits gone out of style or is it just me? and... not really related too much to this topic but why isn't there any decent wheel manufacturers in aus!!!!? i suppose R#H and Sp33dy supply for their market but there is a serious lack of any quality respectable rims made in aus. surely there is a market for it. drift r's... well the thought was there... drift rims don't usually weight 100ks each though do they? I think there would be others out there that would really appreciate an aus conmpany putting in a genuine effort to supply for this demand.
  7. appologies 4 the hijak, it is related though... I was down JMS way last night and there was a fair bit of action. there was some class out there last night. it was good to see some good action out there. ne1 else out there last night? can't wait 4 the drift day!
  8. Appologies if a similar thread has been posted. from what i've seen, u all have real nice rides. But what's the big deal with r34's (appart from them being one of the best cars available). If it were me, i'd be gettin a piece of the laurels, cimas, tourer v's, chasers and the like. Stuff we dont have back in aus (i do realize that not all members originate from aus so were aus is written, insert own country) my dream daily driver = late model black laurel with BN kit and VIP rims + step 1 performance mods of course. these look sooooooo sweeeeeet!!!! daily drifter = blitzed out c33 laurel, these things can be sooo tuff! What cars do u all drive and what are ur impression of it?
  9. Tri spokes are fat! Chrome is shit(well the heavy stuff anyway)! Lightweight simple style is the go, not batmobile lookalikes.
  10. I agree. I wouldn't bother replacing the thrust bearing. As long as the clutch isn't slipping i wouldn't bother with that either.
  11. do you blow axles?
  12. Majanal : You wrote somewhere that you have a few suspension goodies... From a non scientific perspective, what sort of difference did good suspension make to your drifting? What difference did the locker make?
  13. just out of curiosity... when u'z are out driving do u get challenges at the lights? are traffic light drags common?
  14. Country living was way less hectic. plenty of pros and cons but if u want a car then surly country (not too country) would be ideal. I wasn't that interested back then but come to think of it there were so many good drif spots where i was. actually being a foreigner in a country town in a sports "drift" car u'd be recognised and busted in no time, oh well theres always the next town over...
  15. haven't been to nagano b4 but hokkaido was gold. slopes were good, sapporo was great and it's just a good place to visit. very spaced out, as in spead out/ more space
  16. I drew them. lol. I only have to go into a little detail and my phys teacher didn't have a prob with them. It's a 1000 word essay so i can't really get everything in. u know how yr 12 is. If ur teach says it's OK don't change it. I'm just ignoring a whole stack of stuff and trying to put what i think has the most importance. I'd post the essay up but i don't want it to get torn appart. I'd rather just think it's good. cheers 4 that last post though skylinegeoff, that was gold.
  17. :ak47: :rave:
  18. You fellaz would be paying for the risk of being involved in a crash more than theft though. Where i stayed in japan there was a spun out rice patty grandma crash every second day, well with roads as wide as a foot path u'd expect so aye. They were pretty honest where I stayed. I asked and no1 i knew had ever had their car broken into. more than i can say 4 my freinds in oz.
  19. YES! my last post landed on #369.
  20. ur whoring just talkin bout other ppl whoring, whore
  21. i can't think of nething to write
  22. whoring is a bit triky
  23. why are there so many ethnics in hospital...... because they're all fully sik mate!
  24. (I'm gonna cop some wrath for this :Bang: )........ I cant think of a better reason to start with a 33! 1 less r33 = 1 million take 1 r33's on the roads of Australia When ur done with the 33 upgrade to a 32 or 34 lol BTW a BIG :jk:
  25. p.s. what dorifto said is spot on and supports this.
