To be fair reading that section out of context does sound stupid so apologies. I was referring more so going for a job due to the money aspect only. (I.e test & tag scenario - weighing up the money and being the sole reason for not pursuing) Grant seemed to have rattled off many jobs with different skills in different industries and it sounded more driven by $ than his true ambitions. To be quite honest; a plumber & test/tag position is not a career, it is a job. It is a job which can pay well enough to deal with the shit. Find a career path which you will enjoy, stop thinking about $ as you will never be happy especially when you are competing against people without a disability. Find something which defines you & your intellect/passion. My friend has a condition & cannot read/write however he is loyal & can think for himself. He took his gym passion along with his loyalty & is now a heavy equipment workshop assistant. He is now showing the ropes to an apprentice & you cant wipe the smile off his face. If there is a will you will find a way. Stop following the herd into plumber, electrical jobs & start to think about how you can make a difference, what gives you an advantage over the rest.

I think your view is bullshit. Sounds like you thought the volunteer job was a given and you probably conveyed that 'done deal' attitude. Sometimes how a person fits is more important than $ if you are representing an image/brand/identity. You have two eyes, hands & a connection to the internet. People have made it much further with much less. Imagine if you were born in your parents generation with no internets. And if your only driver for a start-up is profit, then you will fail. The point is to offer a service or product unique to you. If there was minimal risk it would have been over-done already.

The more flexibility & options, the more you lag it down.Owned the first galaxy tab 10.1 before iphone & found Apple a lot more smoother & simple. Although haven't played with new gen android phones/tablets so that issue may have been resolved now...
