  1. I decided to do away with the big sticker... Mainly because they had to remove/cut/panel beat the drivers rear quarter and it has brand new paint on it which you're not supposed to stick anything on to for up to 30 days. I think it looks cleaner now though.
  2. Thanks guys . I love the end result. I guess for every bad there's a good. Despite taking along time to do the work, the smash repairers I chose did a really good job. Going over it this morning (couldn't sleep) I noticed the panel gaps are really good, I can't even tell that they chopped the boot floor out, and they didn't screw around with my car despite me leaving the FC controller plugged in and unlocked (I wouldn't have done this unless I knew the guys...). So those are all good things. Shows they can be trusted...even if it means waiting a long time.
  3. I thought about it, but then I started thinking about going satin black on all the white bits...and then I thought about how silly I am to start thinking about thinking about doing such things. Thanks dude, I'm very happy to have her back. Every time I look at her it just looks like a new car for some reason. It just doesn't look as fat and plump anymore. Looks a little bit more sleeker I reckon. Took their time didn't they! Boot matches the bonnet. It's from East Bear - Japan. Jo from Powerplay (if you read this thanks heaps Jo!!!) got it in ages and ages ago, the smash repairers had the boot within a week of me dropping my car off. But I got my car 4 months later....
  4. After nearly 4months since that moron ran up the back of me while I was waiting at a set of lights, I finally got my car back on Friday. Click here for crumpled rear end pic It's been way too long. But I am so happy to have her back. She even looks different nowadays. I do these ones everytime I start her up and hear that GT30r spool. (here's what she looked like before) Anyway, onto the pics of my updated 'line:
  5. That sucks big time dude. My real estate agent told me a similar story when he got rear ended on King Georges Road. The guy suggested they move off the main road and turn right at the next intersection to exchange details. The guy drove off... It's not really a safe road to stand in the middle of.
  6. Spotted a very nice looking dark grey DR30 on Castle Hill Rd this morning. Plate = JAPCAR
  7. To me it seems that how common this behavior is, tends to coincide with what the media want to infer at any point in time... Alot of it is a case of "No worthy news, lets bring modified cars and inexperienced drivers back into the lime light..." Yep.
  8. Maybe they were driving to DECA?
  9. Bah, I'm away for a day and the whole place goes bananas. Before the poll was modified, it basically said Skylines are not reliable. Stay away... Stay AWAY... 'less you want trouble...
  10. Oh, yeah, I'd tell myself to keep out of the thread that I created. Learn to read.
  11. Lots of broken 'lines. I guess they're getting on in years, and this year has just been unlucky. I'm sure there are more of you out there Careful guys! Here, you guys need one of these each: It's a Murphy's Whacking stick.
  12. I've driven a car from Castle Towers all the way back to Cherrybrook with a screwed alternator. Only made it home cause I kept my heel on the accelerator every tme I had to slow down or stop. If the revs got below 4500rpm the engine would start to die.
  13. As I said.... The ones I'm looking at most probably don't do anything. OMG, I should put a GT wing on my car so I can increase downforce Did you know if you install an R33 GTR copy front bar you increase front traction by 60%? (I'm being sarcastic btw) Basically what I was saying in that post of mine that you quoted is, if you don't have proof to back up the things you're saying, then I'm going to keep on believing that these rear diffusers that I'm looking at do jack shit. And hey, khunjeng, I never said Geoff's diffuser didn't do anything, I just assumed that because he thought he'd drop his "qualifications" in his post that he would've done some measurable testing. What I said was the diffusers I'm looking at don't do anything. So go take your sarcasm somewhere else. This is, afterall, the "cosmetic and styling mods" section.
  14. I have a feeling that 2007 should be called the year of the broken Skyline. Mine's been broken for nearly 3 months... Is yours broken, or has it been off the road this year waiting to be fixed (for any period of time)? And why?
  15. Sounds like the alternator dude. What a night for ya.
  16. That's a nice look. All fitted. I think I prefer the "stuck on" aftermarket look of the Top Secret diffuser though.
  17. Well, if you've done your homework and put the thing through a wind tunnel etc, then it'll do something. TBH, I would be surprised if the generic ones that I'm looking at actually do anything. I mean, maybe around turn 1 at EC I'd notice a tiny difference. But other than that I doubt the ones I'm looking at would do little if anything at all.
  18. Found pics of the top secret diffuser for R33's (no longer available)
  19. thanks guys
  20. pic link doesn't work
  21. No. It looks like they will be showing footage from WSID. LEGAL drag racing, all while talking about illegal street racing...Further blurring the difference between those of us that do things right, and those of us that don't care about the safety of others.
  22. Hey that's true! But why get another torquey straight-line monster (or a car that you can turn into one) when you've already got one. You've got the sledgehammer, go for the scalpel.
  23. Hey dude, is he building you a new engine? Sick of the lack of power?
  24. Sticky, the wheels look great!
