  1. I'll be there anyway for the kiteboarding comp, but won't be bringing my 'line
  2. Have tracked down a set R32 GTR seats, do they fit into R33's, or if not will the rails off my R33 seats bolt up?? Are there any differences besides trim between R33 and R33 GTR seats?
  3. Is that the boost control kit for the Power FC?
  4. Do you want to sell the boost control kit seperately??
  5. i always thought the car ran rich. When I bought the car, it was totally stock engine-wise, but it did have set of platinum plugs in a 7 heat range. Had the head off recently and internally the motor is very healthy. Only ever run it on 96-98 octane fuel, no booster. So all I know is that it ran the car fine in stock trim, and runs it sweet as with a full exhaust, front mount and more boost.
  6. Got a Mine's ECU to suit an R33 GTST. Has raised rev limiter and no boost or speed cut that I can tell. Bought the car with it over 2 years ago. Ran it with stock motor/boost, now running with full exhaust and big front mount with 0.9bar boost and car is running very well. Selling due to upgrade to Power FC. Chasing offers around $500-$600 cheap and easy plug in ECU upgrade. pm or email [email protected] Pic and more info can be found at http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...36&goto=newpost
  7. Yeah I didn't think it would be worth a great deal, $500-$600 was the ballpark figure I was thinking about. Will post it in FS section
  8. Well it definitely is up for sale, just gotta work out what it's worth. In the meantime pm with offers if interested!!
  9. I have had the car for over 2 years now, runs sweet as. I always thought something was strange because the rev limiter doesn't cut in until around 8,000rpm or higher, and when I accidentally set my bleed valve wrong and boost went off my 20psi gauge the boost cut never cut in. Also I have the car over 220, definitely no speed cut either!! When I go to get the Power FC dyno tuned, I will make sure I get a run on this ECU first.
  10. High all, removed my left kick panel to install my new Power FC:D and found this. Looks like stock ECU but has a Mine's plate with serial no. on it. What does this mean?? Has it got a daughterboard or something in it? I know the stock ECU's are locked so what has been done? It will probably be up for sale in the near future once I know what it's worth
  11. Have you got any good coil packs left? If so how much thanks
  12. If anyone has a good spare coil pack for a series 1 R33 GTST lying around I would like to borrow it. I am in Noosa on the sunnie coast. Car is running rough and spark plug in cylinder 6 is very tan in colour, indicating unburnt fuel. I hope it is just a dodgy pack If anyone can help please reply here, send a pm or email [email protected] Thanks
  13. There was no obvious problem with mine, either. Only one was missing but another three were as good as broken and had no tension on the manifold. Once I took the manifold off, you could see black soot on the head where it had been leaking. Now that it is fixed, the car sounds different.
  14. Yes, removed it myself. Do a search on these forums, there are some good tips. I had four broken ones, and another one broke when the shop was removing them. Only the studs on each end broke indicating the warped manifold. When we put a straight edge across the manifold it had warped 2-3mm each end. If you try to remove the studs yourself with an EZ-out, make sure you don't break it off in the stud, as once you do that it makes the job a whole lot harder.
  15. Just fixed the same problem on my R33. When installing a new dump pipe noticed a stud missing, turns out it was sheared off. Another three broke when I tried to remove the manifold. Turns out it is a common problem on these and RB30's. Caused by a warped exhaust manifold so you need to take your head off and get it to a head specialist or similair along with your exhaust manifold. I got all the studs removed and a new set installed plus the manifold machined flat for $150. A genuine top end gasket kit from nissan will set you back between $220-$300 depending if you can get it trade or not. If you remove/replace the head yourself they are the only real expenses. Pain in the butt job for just a few broken studs but it needs to be done because even if only one is broken, you can bet that a few more are fatigued and aren't doing their job anyway.Hope that helps.
  16. looks like a load of fun, only got my car back on the road saturday. Will be up for the next on though
  17. Just finished reinstalling the head on my R33 last week thanks to a couple of sheared exhaust manifold studs. Chucked a new set of iridiums gapped to 0.8 in for good measure as the Power FC is being installed/tuned next week. Was running sweet again until this morning drove to work and now engine has started to run rough constantly throughout rev range but most noticeable at idle. More of a slight shudder than anything else. Any ideas what this might be? Would it be fuel system/injector or spark/coil related? Anyone had the same problem and if so what was it? Any help would be great thanks

    Lines In Cairns

Yeah, more fun than the gillies. Has less corners and is faster. Port road is sweet as is the rex range too. Going up in the old man's STi was ballistic! That thing is like a go-kart. He regularly eats road bikes up. An R34 GTR is next for him I wonder if that will be quicker again

    Lines In Cairns

I originally hail from Kuranda, at the top of the range above Cairns. I got my 'line about 3 months before I moved to the sunny coast about 2 years ago and they were rare as then. There were less than 10 in Cairns. I had such a ball driving the Kuranda range everyday for work. My dad bought a 2-door STi for the same reason. I used to go sub 5-minute top-bottom or bottom-top. Going up was always the most fun. Overtaking drift style in 3rd gear sticks in my mind! I am going back next winter for an extended holiday so I am trying to get my cat up there as well to have another crack at those twisties
  20. I'm going by what body kit manufacturers/sellers have told me when I enquired about kits about a year ago. I was told that the only part of a 2-door kit that would fit is the front bar. It would be great if the coupe rear bar would fit because as said earlier in the thread, there is sweet f.a. available in the way of rear bars, or body kits in general for sedans. Keep me posted on how you go walkaou......
  21. Basically the sedan in is about 80mm longer in the body after the rear axle, so the rear bar is longer by that amount. I have a Trust exhaust on my car from a 2-door and although it bolted straight on, it sits back under the rear bar so I need to get it extended.
  22. No, the sedan is longer after the rear axle, so rear bar from coupe is a definite no-go without serious mods!
  23. Rear bar from coupe definitely won't fit without mods as 4-door is longer.
  24. Help! I have a couple of exhaust manifold studs sheared off inside the head of my R33. Only noticed it when I was under the car putting a new dump pipe in. Has anyone else had this problem? I need to source a new exhaust manifold gasket and head gasket as well as a complete set of new manifold studs ( of higher quality than stock). Does anyone know where I can source these in QLD?? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I need to get my car back on the road asap. PM or reply here, or email [email protected]
  25. Never been on a cruise before, this one sounds good. Waiting on my Power FC, if it's in and tuned by then I'll do my best to make it
