okay i don't want to turn this thread into an all out war, but i didn't say that a Link was a better ecu, or that only the link was only thing on my car, or that i was on pump fuel, or anything like that... I really don't care what the better ECU is, a link is what i've got and it works well.... very well infact.... Either way i'm not going to argue, my first post was just to see how Jono's car was going and any help i could offer, yeah i threw in a dig, what's so bad about that.... Just something to think on, if you built a 230kw All motor skyline then added a stock turbo, wouldn't that be a 230kw skyline with a stock turbo.... the point i want to try and get across was you can't bag anyone out that you don't know personally, because you just don't know what they've done to there car.... PEACE....

I don't want to push any buttons here cause i was just trying to offer any help (and a light stab), but wasn't 2rismo pulling beyond that kinda power on a stock turbo... (sure NOS helps but......) I really cant see why 229 is such a stretch on a Link when i said stock turbo, i never said what i had done to the rest of the car...(nor did say it was a safe power figure and may not live very long, however driven sedately enough anything will last) but i'm sure if went and spoke to Grant, jono he would be happy to back that up....

Hey Jono, so how'd things turn out for ya, its a shame to see things not going to plan.. I reckon you should a least go and see Pratty, for that second opinion.... can't hurt can it? that and i'm good mates with a guy for the airport that flys a helicopter so avgas isn't that hard to come by if you wanted to try some for a tune... (although it's not exactly a cost effective solution).. That or you could start from scratch with a LINK 229kw's stock turbo....

Hey Guy, Just wondering if people can give me there opinions on the Link/Link plus ECU's preferable when used in an r33 gtst, in regards to tuning ease, price and where it was purchased from, ive heard some good things about them and am keen on using one just wanted to know what the general population thought? Any help would be good thanks guys..

I did a bit of a ring around when i ordered my coils, airport dudes, customs and the general advice i got back was, that if the part is under $1000 you are under no obligation to declare it for tax purposes (like getting a present from overseas relitives).... and the same for anything over that, if it is not to be resold in oz (bussiness).... I was happy with that so i get all my parts from there.... the main downside is the wait mine took 3 weeks but only casue i ordered them during the sold out period......

I ordered a CES front/dump pipe not to far back and along with a high flow 3" cat, 7psi to 10psi, i went from 182rwkw to 209rwkw so i can definitly say it helped with the increase. (my only greef was the flange was way off.... had to bore out the 4 of the 6 holes turning a simple exhaust swap into a turbo off pain in the a$$. although i put this down to the fact it was sent to me and not put on by them)

having a very similar problem, tried tape, lessened the problem but not fixed..... Ordered coils from nengun, they were $560 (delivered to queensland) on special. (they arent a great deal more off special) very good service from these guys........

i was looking at the post talk about ice in the bottles and remembered a lad routed an aircon pipe into a fabricated tiny esky (his sprayer bottle) it wasnt on a skyline, but it used to be able to form icicles in the esky. a lot of work??? maybe but its DIY and it was pretty cheap but the main thing, it worked!

Kinda off topic but where did you get ur dash (console, speedo, tacho) from, that isnt standard for an auto is it?

does any 1 have a round about price on a Crank angle sensor for an R33 series 1 gts-t mines stuffed and i cant seem to find any prices on the net. Also a Z32 AFM price would be good.
