  1. I'll come down to watch... might need a lift (can get there... in a Barina!) anyone going past Burwood?
  2. Can't really get my head around what it is I want within a resonable budget. Looking more expensive than original plan... either way, where there is a will there is a way! I think my biggest drama is working out weather I want to go down that road and turning the car into a weekend racer (what I 'd love to do in time) and get a run-a-round or keep it as my day to day transport (which is also very nice... nothing better than jumping in the GTR to go to work in the morning, makes for a nice start to the day - missing that at the moment) I think at the end of the day I will need to keep it real and get the car on the road ASAP as I do not have a back-up. Looks like I need to crunch those numbers again
  3. JAG - what sort of budget were you looking at to get it to spec? I'm thinking with the ECU and everything else spending around 3.5k to 4k + 20% for extras. Would love to keep the cost lower if possible but does not look likely. Also, probably need a tow down to Racepace...any chance of getting a lift from you?
  4. Was there on Sunday for lunch and last ditch attempt to catch a farking fish... I'm sure there are no fish in Victoria! Just after I left the lakes all the drama started. All depending on budget... I think I was in la-la land for most of today at work but it's all set in now and you know it's good that ben is so busy... gives me time to save the $$$$ I think I may have some goddies already in the car like the aftermarket cams, I still need to put a new ECU in the mix. Whats the going price on a Standard Remapped??? ITEMS I WILL BE GETTING 100% Pistons (forged) brand not yet known ECU - brand and type not yet known (Power FC or Motec) New Bearings Headgasket All the work rquired to install above (labour, machining and tuning) Catch Can (I have one... but will probably take it back or sell and get another) NOT SURE Rods Pumps (water and oil) probably oil (car has never had issues with these items or over heating) Headwork Very sleepy, need to get a clear head and think about it all again in the morning. Cheers to all for the help and going easy on the cause!
  5. Yep! No need for more $$ there.
  6. Mate, no need to worry about me getting carried away (except in a body bag once the woman finds out the bill) I will keep it humble to a certain extent (whats the use of all that power and goodies if I can't use it to it's full potential on the track... No. 1 novice... only one track day under my belt) I will be very pleased with the finished product and I will be working within a budget (yet to be finalised) What do you reckon Troy? What should I do and not do... if it were you?
  7. Just bought one after PI track day... not installed yet... caus there anit no room to put the thing! Was working with the idea of using cable ties next to the fuse box (32's) or building a bracket with a mates help next to battery? Might have a look at Bens and take the other back???
  8. I will be doing all communications via forums going forward and do not hold high expectations of attending MAS 05. I will be more than willing to follow through with tasks assigned to me @ first meeting and will let you know details/progress as soon as I can. Most important I think is the banners - need to work on artwork - ideas so I can get a proof done.
  9. I think PI track day had a bit to do with it... getting heaps of blow-by on the track, but I think the main cause was me and not getting things done when they should have been done like tuning and ECU upgrade. No use crying over spilt milk though and why start learning/doing things the easy way now? I've learnt/done the hard way all my life!
  10. Just got off the phone with Ben and it's going to Racepace... will be off the road for a while but I'M EXCITED just like Big Kev about the end result. ** Donations are fully tax deductable... please make payment to "Robin's a moron for driving down the coast last weekend fund"
  11. Send me / Post the details... his website does not have a phone number from memory.
  12. I know! I had it booked in for this morning B4 I went on my little trip (760km round trip) down to Orbost. Anyway, gotta keep looking on the bright side...
  13. I'm a dickhead! I had a few issues with the car after PI track day... but all was looking good after I cleaned the spark plugs and to cut a long story short I decided to take full advantage of the long weekend and take a trip down the coast. Drive was awesome and I had no issues getting there and return trip until half way back on Sunday night. Anyway, I have had it looked at this morning (leak down test) and have blown piston no. 6 and probably done some more damage yet to be confirmed as engine still needs to be pulled out. A. Will not be attending MAS 05 - sorry guys (I can still organise banners and tables for event) B. With an opportunity like this... should I get the works (forged everything) or just get single piston replaced? C. Should I go to Racepace (I know Ben is great @ rebuilds) or leave the work to the dude who has my car at the moment (Cromwell Auto) does allot of rally cars (WRX's and good old 120B's) D. Please insert comment hear......................... Please go easy on the insults and discipline I deserve and be more productive with your replies.
  14. Banners are looking good... need artwork? HAPPY EASTER

  24. I purchased my R32 GTR through J-Spec. I think importing no matter who you use will have it's ups and downs. The best advice I can give you is do lots of homework in regards to: Importing regulations and compliance, get your own contact at shipping agent used to import your car, be ready to wait and wait some more. The guys at J-Spec are nice and have some wicked cars ready for import - I'm happy with my car and thats the only reason I think I can look back and justify the effort and anguish placed on a person who decides to import from Japan + I saved a shit load of money compared to Aussie market price. My 2c
  25. I will get a copy also... can I use the file for personal print also? Can you also put the PI track day on for me?
