  1. Twin 2 1/2" stainless exit pipes is where it's at....... None of this chrome shit.
  2. The S15 is a true Sports car. The Skyline GTST is a gran-tourer. You will know what I mean once you have actually driven an S15. (Hey that rhymes...) The S15 loves to get sideways and is extremely predictable when negotiating a slide or spin due to the chassis design and superior diff to that off the R33/R32 skylines. Having owned both an R33 gtst and Aus Delivered S15 I can honestly say the S15 runs rings around the R33.... Which is understandable. If you do buy one, don't make the mistake that most S15 owners do and put a ridiculously heavy twin plate clutch behind the factory 6-speed. You will have gearbox problems in know time. Now why did I sell mine?........
  3. Full mechanical inspections are available in Japan. It's not like you pick a car and hope like hell there's nothing wrong with it.
  4. You are taking one hell of a risk not getting a 15 year old GTR checked out. Think about why there are so many of them for sale.........
  5. I remember seeing the R33/R34 at the Autosalon. Was at the main entrance if I remember correctly. Nice cars. What's your occupation if you don't mind me asking?
  6. These aren't the biggest turbo in terms of HP. I think they are rated at 320ps. The advantage is they are ball bearing which means the RB25 will spool this very early. With supporting mods you could probably pump out around 220rwkw. Though if you're going to the trouble of replacing the turbo you'll be asking yourself why you didn't pay the extra $500 and get something a little bigger. Expect to pay upwards of $1200 ~ for a good condition example. Check to make sure if it comes with oil / water lines as this will set you back $100 or so plus intake modifications.
  7. Mods please close this thread. Car sold a few months ago..... Way too cheaply if you ask me. SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD
  8. You have to post a price as per the forum rules.
  9. I'd like to see some test results comparing a big name equivalent to a china job or hybrid. Because frankly, if the only argument you have for the more expensive one is it's brand; that simply isn't good enough.
  10. Does it have an aftermarket Blow off valve? The previous owner probably cranked the idle up so it wouldn't stall. It would also explain the excessive fuel usage also.
  11. Was this the one off Car Sales? Looks nice mate, but that front bar is a shocker. Stock one looks better.
  12. I would personally confront the guy about it. Don't ask him about it on the phone or anything. Ultimately you aren't happy with the vehicle not being genuine so I would offload it.
  13. A VS V8? Get with the times my friend. The car was probably used as a paddock basher.... If anything Ford actually under quote their power figures. Don't think that just because it's Australian delivered doesn't mean it can't punch out the numbers. Take a look at www.fordxr6turbo.com and you'll see what I mena. 280rwkw is nothing and costs bugger all for these cars. No mucking around with bigger turbos, intercoolers, ECU's, cams blah blah blah $$$$. I have just finished flashing my dad's XR6t with an 8psi map and let me tell you it pulls like a freight train. Might try the 10psi map with decent fuel in it very soon. All for $1200. The R34 might look better but it certainly does not match the power of the XR6.
  14. See if you can match 260RWKW while only spending $1200. Go the stealth chip!

    284.9 rwhp

1 Bar on the stock series 2 turbo.... Wonder how long that will last? Impressive figure.
  16. I seriously can't believe how many are for sale. Just looking through Trading Post, car sales, forums etc. Stacks and stacks.... Makes you wonder.
  17. Remember that power figure is *claimed*. The GT is 290kw and the Typhoon eats it.
  18. No. What he is referring to is the alloy block of the SR20 weighing less than that of the RB20. By putting a heavier engine in, it disrupts the natural balance of the car. The way I see it the SR20 was produced up until 2002. So it can't be that bad.
