Question Regarding Turbo Timer And Alarm
midnight replied to midnight's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
its a 2pt alarm. I didnt install it personally. according to the instructions its wired to my fuel pump... CRAP -
before anyone says anything I have searched, but I have come across an issue not covered so I feel it warrants a new topic. after installing a NC relay from the TT on the alarm ignition sense wire and when the car is running, wouldnt the relay still be powered? (and hence open), therefore the alarm would think the car is not running. Ive shown my reasoning for this the second part of the attached diagram Im asking about this as I wish to retain my auto arm feature, yet I dont want my car to arm the alarm 2min after I drive off. Im thinking the installation of the relay is different from as I have drawn, so If anyone could correct me I would be much appreciative. cheers

speed cut is realitively easy, you could just send it too him and hed remap it and send it back, but you may as well get an improved map while your at it.

as you want something cheap and easy to tune yourself, the emanage would be a viable option, the software is readily available and easy to use, and hence would prove to be a great tool in learning about tuning and the principles involved. where as with PFC the only software available is 3rd party and not official A'PEX, and quite expensive. on the downside though, piggybacks can be abit tricky to tune and take abit longer to get things right, and it is highly debateable weather this outweighs the benefits or not.

I have this exact same problem, with the same timer. can anyone shed anymore light on this?
-
yes can be done to instrument cluster. except the LEDs may not disperse the light enough.

Item: 2x Black Competition Sparco Ultras Location: Sydney Item Condition: Condition wise they are overall very good, never used with normal seatbelts so there is no abnormal wear, but there are one or two tiny marks, and a small portion of the plastic on one seats harness hole is cracked. Reason for Selling: Car has become a daily Driver so im looking for reclinables Price and Payment Conditions: retail on these is around $1500 for a pair, so I am looking for $900 firm for the pair with no rails. Or will trade the pair and cash for a pair of genuine Recaros out of an Integra or late model Evo. Pick up Sydney, Serious Enquiries only. Extra Info: This is an expression of interest on a pair of genuine Competition Sparco Ultras, they are excellent quality FIA approved fiberglass fixed back seats, with upholstery that creates a micro-channeling effect of air between the seat and the driver’s body, which, together with the perfect ergonomics, make it extremely comfortable. They have kidney support which is a huge advantage on long drives and are very light. I am 6ft 2 medium build and I fit into these quite snugly. Universal sparco brackets are easily obtainable from good automotive stores, and they fit Recaro sidemount, Bride side mount, and look like they will fit Bride bottom mount rails by redrilling the rails. Contact Details: PM preferred.

30mm 5stud Spacers
midnight replied to midnight's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
nah sorry. I only posted em for sale today so Im fairly set on $120. I dont really want to post as all 4 of these are quite heavy and I'm loosing money on these as it is. They are cheap because the hub ring will need to be ground off or made smaller. I originally bought these from wheelworx in SA for $65 each + $20 for freight. But they did not offer refund when I told them about the issue, so Im just trying to make abit of the money back. -
ok I have 4 of these 5x114.3 bolt on wheel spacers for sale, they are a whopping 30mm thick with a 1.5 thread, but can be used with any thread as they come with wheelnuts. They are also brand spanking new billet aluminium. I dropped one of these from one foot high onto my garage floor and It rang so loud I almost went deaf. There is a problem tho, The hubcentric ring is too big diameter wise, I could not get any of my wheels to fit, I do not know if this is because they were not meant for nissan, or weather it is a manufacturing mistake. so only enquire if you are willing to take the time to grind the hub ring off or make it smaller, or even take them to a machinist to be done. hence I am selling these for $30 each. ($120 for all four) PICK UP SYDNEY ONLY PM me if interested.

midnight replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
you might want to take a look at autospeed http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_2632/article.html article about doing the same thing. -
do you mean ready made carbon fiber sheets or the actual cloth? carbon fiber comes on rolls as a cloth and is constructed like fiberglass, you need to lay it up with resin. good fiberglass suppliers have it.
-
yeah, in my article I put a note at the bottom, telling people to sand the led lense abit to help disperse light.
-
get a catch can maybe, would help stop oil going into your intake and through the system
-
let me know how much centercaps end up costing, im in need of some too

what happens when you upgrade your induction system in the future and are flowing way more air than you currently are at redline? are you just going to estimate all values from 4.1-5.1 volts on you VQ table? -
Greddy Ultimate Better Then Apexi Power Fc?
midnight replied to driftspec32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
there are other factors involved rather than just stand alone vs piggyback I have an emanage for the following reasons my car would need an AP engineering PFC ($1400 for the unit only, rare as hens teeth) emanage software is readily available and reasonable priced, whilst official PFC software is not sold to consumers, and 3rd party is expensive. hence emanage is a viable solution for people who wish to tune themselves at an affordable price, and pfc is good for the weekend warrior. even if it is abit more difficult that tuning for a standalone. The ultimate has new functions like auto tuning to a set AFR, by having a wideband the emange will maintain a consistant AFR, you just punch in your ratio and it does the rest. -
ridge racer can be dropped down to 500mb easily just by removing the videos. even less by ripping the muisc.. atm im playing shutokou battle: zone of control, jap highway racing game. (known as tokyo xtreme racer in western countries), pretty good game, its different from skutokou on ps2 as you dont have to drive around looking for races, but you have a new team battle system where you defend and attack different highway territories.. mmm 600ps r34 GTR
