  1. hmmm i wonder if yours being a neo rb25 would be any different. i actually wouldnt have thought that full height injectors would have fitted up all ok. is the hks also an 11mm rail? Trent if you do see this please let me know! cheers
  2. a bit of a thread dig sorry guys, trent, does these takashi fuel rails you have used in the past, do these clear the plazmaman plenum when using 11mm 1000cc injector dynamics? and when you do use them are you using id1000's with no top hat installed?
  3. was just seeing if there was a cheaper alternative than the plazmaman rail that would still work perfectly well, i noticed in another thread some one had said these work. does any one know forsure?? http://goodiesdirect.com.au/index.php?route=product/product&path=81_88_90&product_id=405 i guess the only issue there is that there 11mm fuel rails so if i go and buy a set of id1000's with 11mm tops, if it doesnt end up fitting with this fuel rail and i have to go and buy a plazmaman fuel rail which is 14mm i dont think id be able to run the top hat adaptors on the injectors to convert to 14mm because of clearance issues
  4. did you mean power flow? what size injector bores does it have
  5. good old summit, what was your delivery time i think its worth the wait at that price
  6. did you just go with the 4x9" body muffler 3" center inlet, 3" center outlet? im looking at getting this here http://www.bestmufflers.com/bshop/product_info.php?cPath=125_145_529&products_id=1769&osCsid=9fb4d09cbdfae680dbb9c94056dfd538 hopefully fits up well as the mid muffler
  7. Need to get a top feed fuel for my rb25. Are the cheap ebay fuel rails any good or are they just rubbish? Pretty much need a rail and injectors that will clear my plazmaman plenum. Also which fuel pressure reg will I be best off using. I'd like to use something that can be mounted directly to the end rail if possible. Injectors will need to support e85, running a gtx3076 turbo so will id1000's be best off or id2000's be to over kill? Or is there another top feed injector that's just as good as id's? Thanks guys.
  8. I'm also looking at fitting a mid muffler to my exhaust, since fitting the 6 boost with the gtx3076 the exhaust is so much louder than it was with the stock turbo and manifold on there. Currently I've got a 3" stainless dump off the turbo, 3" cat which I'm unsure of the brand or the quality of it, the mid sections a straight through pipe with the only muffler being a x force varex muffler at the rear but if you drive around in the quite mode it sounds utter shit! Good thing the short mid section is flanged so it's easy enough to get something made up. I'm prob leaning towards a stainless straight through magnaflow. I've had the aero chambers on my v8's honestly not to sure if I'd like that sort of deepness coming out of a skyline. Hmmm. Any other suggestions on mid mufflers?
  9. And these still run a wasted spark set up? just sequential injection? Cheers
  10. How long have the plug ins been fully sequential? There's one for sale at the moment but I'm not sure if it will be this will be this type is there a way of telling easily?
  11. Spoke to the tuner that I'm dealing with and his advised against going the ethanol flex sensor. He would much prefer to have two separate dedicated maps and has pushed away from using an adaptronic select, he did say tuning them is more difficult and they don't get a satisfactory result when using them. That's probably just in experience of tuning them... they advised on using a vi-pec plug in ecu. I'm guessing a v44 model would be sufficient enough over a v88?
  12. thats appealing. will the car be tuned at its best potential then? does the tuner define what values of timing is set for 90% ethanol to 5% ethanol then the ecu scales accordingly? and then if i was runnning premium 98 fuel mixed with no ethanol fuel at all it would be a completly different map? i guess what im trying to work out is do i give the car to the tuner with e85 in the tank, get the car tuned, then drain the tank fill with bp98 tune the car again, then there is 2 different base lines to work with? cheers
  13. Thinking about getting one of these ecu's. w.a. Is finally getting e85 at one station. If I get some id1000's, fit a walbro e85 in tank pump, will this ecu be able to have 2 tunes on board, one for e85 and one for bp98 because I don't think I'll be able to rely on the one station to always have e85 avaliable ?
  14. So it's here at last. With only the one servo I'm not sure if I want to get a tune done on e85 and only be able to rely one the one pump to always have it. Hmmm decisions
  15. As title says, brand new power fc with hand controller to suit r33 rb25 with z32 maf and plug. $1350. Pick up from Fremantle area w.a.
  16. edit: something like this should do it http://www.jegs.com/i/Earls/361/178004/10002/-1?parentProductId=1538544
  17. i thought these may have been off a ls1, will an o ring by its self actualy work? or will it just crush too much.. i wonder if them o ring washers are available in 6mm size?
  18. I tried modifying the lid to take 6mm cable, I drilled out the old spade terminals, put the new 6mm wire through and used permatex cold weld bonding compound which is fuel resistant. Left it to cure over the weekend. Assembled it all back together and after a weeks driving there's been a fuel smell. Checked up on the lid and fuels leaking where the 6mm cables coming through the lid. The cold weld hasn't bonded to the cable properly as I can pull the cable up and down and can see fuel pushing past it or spitting out once the tank has some pressure in it. Fail! Mite have to try using this bolt/stud set up with the o ring
  19. deffinatly looks like e85 will be in armadale shortly. an email from united today: Thank you for sending in your query. At this moment, we do not have an estimated time for the completion of E85 upgrades for Armadale as there are many factors changing the final date. We will announce on our website and Facebook pages when E85 does become available. i had also asked if a few other stations would be getting e85 and there response was: At this time, we do not have immediate plans for expanding in WA. As we have just introduced ethanol blended fuels in WA, we are expanding our E85 network nationally and have included WA in this. We will pass your request for E85 for Hamilton Hill and Melville to the appropriate department, however, for the near future; we do not have any other plans in WA. im still uncertain if i just hold off a little bit as im in the final stages of finishing my r33 off which is running a 6 boost, gtx3076, 50mm external gate and plazmaman plenum. quite a few have advised already that the gtx3076 really does require e85 to make the most from it. eaither way if i go e85 i guess id1000's will be the go with a walbro intank e85 pump. is it true that all the rubber fuel lines will have to be replaced with teflon braided lines?
  20. thats my thoughts exactly. im trying to keep as much of the emission gear hooked up so if the bonnet were to get popped its not something stupid like that i get done for. does anyone actualy know why exactly it has to be connected to a ported vacuum source? is it to prevent the engine sucking in fuel vapours in idle conditions and only allows the vapours to be drawn in during part throttle?
  21. Hey guys just seeing if any one on here has run with there carbon canister after installing an aftermarket manifold and throttle body. I'm running a plazmaman plenum with one of there 66mm throttle body, the difference being the factory throttle body has a ported vacuum source on it which runs to the carbon canister and the plazmaman doesn't. Will it be an issue if both lines from the carbon canister are connected to a constant vacuum source? Plazmaman has said no one ever connects them after installing there manifold so just seeing every one else has done, cheers
  22. im also looking at replacing my front mount. currently running a 600x300x76 but the core has been damaged. its a cheap china one thats one currently on there. new combo is 6 boost manifold, gtx3076, 50mm turbosmart external gate, plazmaman plenum. dont think i can justify spending $700-800 on a plazmaman cooler so what are the cheaper alternatives? just jap or is there something reasonaly priced inbetween which is better?
  23. did happen to have any pictures of where you mounted iac valve adaptor and how you routed all the hoses? cheers
