Hey guy’s this is incorrect. The turbo used on the Wide body Skyline is a Billet Turbochargers turbo (model) Billet 76-GTS. Web link: www.billetturbochargers.com The turbo’s are manufactured at MR Turbo Australia but the brand is Billet Turbochargers. The Billet 76-GTS as used on the Skyline has nothing in common with the Trust turbo’s. Sincerely, Fantasy.

I am going to give my vote to the Autronic. If it is wired up correctly it will have at least one air temp sensor. QLD tuners recommended: ● Hi Talk Performance. Ashley is the head tuner here. Ash is formally from APC. Phone number: 07 55 006512 ● Pitt’s. Matt Spry runs the show there. He has an excellent reputation. Phone number: 0411340033. Both of these guys tune Power FC’s as well so they can, and will give you an honest opinion on both these ECU’s from a tuner's point of view. I know both of these guys so you can drop my name if you like. Ricky from Fantasy Performance.

The closest match I have to your part number is 714569-0002. This turbo is a 52 trim T04S version of the GT30R's. If it is this turbo it will have a .70 compressor cover, 7 bladed 52 trim T04S compressor wheel with an inducer size of 55.1mm and a major diameter of 76mm. It will have a .82 rear housing (if it hasn’t been changed) and the standard 84 trim 60mm GT30R turbine. Disco may have an exact match to your part number if this is not your turbo. The easiest way to check would be to count the compressor blades and measure the compressor inducer size, then cross reference it with the information supplied. Cheers

The test car I built my new SR20 turbo kit on is now finished. It uses the Billet Turbo combo I mentioned earlier using the 56T 71mm GT compressor wheel. This car made 245rwhp on 10psi and 311rwhp on 16psi. This means for me the turbo kit and the turbo combo is a success story.

Disco, Forgot to mention the HKS GT3040R-50T I have here has a T25 foot print. The few customers I have that have GT28RS or similar already had them on there cars before they came to me. Most of my business is done with people that are chasing higher power out puts than the GT28RS can deliver on sensible boost. The most impressive car I have seen with a GT28RS is a customers S14 200SX making very close to 300rwhp on a good day @ 6000rpm on 20psi and tons of torque from 3000rpm. Max rpm is 6200. No worth while power past this point. This 200SX has backed this power up by doing several 112mph - 113mph passes at WillowBank. Most of my customers want more than 300rwhp and don't want to run more than 18psi. So even know the GT28RS is an absolutely awesome turbo it does not suit the majority of my customer basis. Cheers,

If you read the information on the Datsun 1200, the power quoted and the pic's of the engine bay are of the old TO4E set up. The 1200 is still in the tuning stages with the new GT3540R. The light weight of the 1200 if any thing will cause it to spool up slower. In theory a heaver car will load up more and make boost earlier. Same as driving up a hill or applying the break as you are accelerating.

Hey Guys, Turbine, The engine was pulled down and it had done the rings. But we already knew that because it dumped the contents of the sump out of the breathers and all over the track. Standard rings don’t like big revs with big power. Roy & Beer Baron, Of course Turbine, compressor wheel and housing size matching is the most important factors when it comes to choosing a turbo. (There is a thread open where we are discussing this topic in the Forced Induction Performance forums), But there is no questioning the FACT that ball bearing turbos spool up faster. And the better the wheels and housings match the faster again it will spool up with a ball bearing centre. Manifold design is also very important. I have GT3540R’s hanging of the side of 2L engines making 10psi @ 3800rpm and reaching 15psi as early as 4000rpm.. Link to Compressor-turbine Matching thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=102580 KamikazeR33, Yes it is a 31 Skyline. It is a Australian delivered 4 door 31. Cheers

Hi Roy, Yes it was a standard R32 RB20 engine, and yes it blow up first trip to the drags. The twin turbo set up was done by a mechanic I had working for me. He had done the car before he was working for me. Like I said I would never recommend some one do this. The owner of the car did not want to re-do the turbo side of things so I had to make the best out of bad beginnings. I made the inlet manifold, intercooler, pipes, fuel rail, ect. Cheers,

The above set up would have worked a lot better with a single .82 GT3540R I would have made similar max rwhp on the same boost but it would get to full boost at around 4000 – 4400rpm. So it would have had tons more mid range and a heaps better power curve. and that it what wins races.

Hi guys, I have not read all the posts but I am going to warn you away from doing this. I have done A RB20DETT before using two R32 RB20 Turbos. We did get a 403rwhp @17psi, but it is a laggy pig. Cars with much less power beat it on the street because they have more usable power. This is how it performs. 4000rpm = 7psi it also has bad compressor surge issues. 5000rpm = 10psi 6000rpm = 13psi 7000rpm = 15psi 8000rpm = 17psi and 403rwhp The car in question was done 6 years ago and I did not recommend it then and I still say it is a bad idea.

Hi guys, Both 180bfj & Disco know I have tried most of the GT30 combinations at some stage. My new favorite is a modified version of the GT3071R. The first time I used a GT3071R it was in its original Garrett form on a SR20. It preformed ok but was nothing flash. It lacked HP. The second time was another SR20 I put a GT2871R with 52T comp wheel. it was a laggy pig. Taking from my experiences with the two turbos already mentioned I created my own combo using the GT3071R 56T comp wheel and a larger T04E comp. The bigger comp cover does wonders for the GT3071R 56T comp wheel. This turbo combo I have come up with I get built by Billet Turbochargers. It is in my opinion the best streetable turbo for 275rwhp to 400rwhp on a 2L engine. I am not giving away all my specs for now but the biggest improvement was found in the larger comp cover. But I do use a different Turbine as well. Earlier it was said the HKS GT3040R comes with a .60 cover. Here is a bit of trivia. I have a Genuine HKS GT3040R with the 50T comp wheel sitting here and it has a HKS .70 cover on it. Cheers, Fantasy

Turbo is rated at 500+hp with the larger housings. The GT3071R is known to have up to 1000rpm better boost response than other GT30R models. This turbo with the .60 or .50 compressor cover will fit on RB20DET, RB25DET and RB30ET standard cast manifolds. The .70 cover may fit but I do not know for sure. The internal wastegated variation of this turbo uses a Ford T03 style internal wastegate. -
