  1. Oh yeah, i forgot about the single conversion Paul. Oops. And yeah, agreed, the smiley face makes me look like an idiot doesnt it. Ill just go now............
  2. Are you serious mate? Im pretty sure this is the quickest low mount GTR in the world. A $15K import will need at least $10k spent on it just to get it up to scratch, and it'll still be a sh1tter. You clearly dont really know what youre talking about.
  3. The RB26 route is massively expensive. Anyone on this forum is kidding themselves if they think they wont want to start modifying a standard RB26 engine once its in their gtst. We've all got the bug. I reckon Beer Barron is being conservative with the $10K figure; this would be in labour only i reckon. When you think of the tailshaft mods, sump mods, power steering mods, etc, etc. Barron is right when he says there is something about the RB26 engine though. It just looks good in an engine bay. Alternatively, you could save yourself the heartache and just by my 350Kw RB26 powered R32 gtst! You'd be silly not to! See the for sale section. Shaun.
  4. Thanks mate. On boost its amazing. Ive only been driving around on spring pressure (10 psi), and its still quick enough to beat anything convincingly. Go get a lotto ticket. There's a few people looking at it this weekend! Shaun.
  5. Ill have a look, but not interested in a swap. I need more of a family car. Might look at some Stageas maybe.
  6. I couldnt get onto that link because im at work, but sorry mate, not interested in swaps. Shaun.
  7. HaHaHa, really? Thanks for clearing that up mate. The MT's really would stick like sh1t to a blanket!
  8. OK, Thanks for that. I read it somewhere in the tyre section. I did, however, mean DOT approved drag tyres like the Micky Thompsons etc, but im no expert on those. Its safe to say that these Federals are quite a bit more wear resistant than the DOT approved drag slicks. Thats the point i was trying to make. Shaun.
  9. Hahaha, its true, i admit it! I cop sh1t over that all the time
  10. Hi, I bought these brand new Federal semi slicks last week and my intentions for the car have changed, so theyre up for sale. They are awesome tyres; they stick like sh1t to a blanket. My car is very powerful, and they handled it with ease. Very comfortable on the road with little road noise and no extra harshness. The sizes are 235x45x17 and 255x40x17. The 235's are 595RS's with a UTQG of 180 and the 255's are 595RSR's with a UTQG of 140. The Federal rep said that this combination was perfect for street, track or motorkahna duties. For comparison, drag slicks usually have a tread wear rating of 60 to 80, and normal road tyres usually have a rating of around 240 to 300. I did a lot of research for these tyres, and for the price and all round performance (including wear resistance for street duties) these came up trumps compared to Toyo and Falken. The fronts retail for $280 and the rears retail for $315, thats $1190 all up. Im asking $1000 for good as new tyres. They still have the little wobbly rubber things on them! Contact me on 0414972596 for any queries. Thanks, Shaun.
  11. Had some time to kill today and put my R32 gtr wheels on the car. I reckon they look great. Ive had these wheels for about 2 years and have never put them on the car. Theyre in such perfect condition, that i put them in garbage bags and stored them away. PS They dont come with the car
  12. The sale bug is contagous! It sucks selling our cars for 50% of the build cost, not to mention the blood, sweat and tears that goes into them. Such is life i suppose Shaun.
  13. She's stuck by me the whole way and loves the car as much as i do! It certainly is a snow ball effect with money and mods, but someone is going to capitalise on my loss and get themselves an awesome car for a great price. Cheers.
  14. The thermos do occupy that space, however, ive got the standard clutch fan that can be bolted to the water pump pulley as normal. Alternatively, conventional thermo fans could be placed behind the radiator, and the condensor could be replaced in the standard position. I just liked the gap between the engine and radiator. Its just a matter of bolting all the A/C stuff back on. Ive got it all. No part of the body has been cut for any modification done, so the buyer can easily customise the car to suit his purpose fairly easily. Oh, ive also got the standard bonnet and latch. Paul, thanks for your comments mate; ill still call you up
  15. Thanks guys. Alot of work went into it. Theres about 400 hours of poloshing in the engine bay! i hope someone gets as much enjoyment out of it as i have! I actually had no idea how much to put on it, as R32's like this rarely come up, but as always the price is negotiable.
  16. I imported this car as a stock late model R32gtst and built it up as though i was going to keep it forever. But things change and regretably ive got to let it go. The car is a late 1993 model R32 gtst M Spec with 99000 genuine kms. I have recently finnished a full rebuild (car was off the road for about 3 years) which included forged 1997 R33 RB26 engine, single gt35r turbo, R33 gtst gearbox, Autronic SM4 engine management, full fuel system, brand new mechanical diff, etc, etc. The car has recently made 350rwkw and 573Nm at 18psi and was tuned by Dave at Silverwater Automotive in Sydney. I have spent over $60 000 on this car and have all receipts. I admit that i am anal retentive and obsessive compulsive, so be assured that nothing other than top notch gear has been used and absolute care has been taken with the car. The car has not been used in motorsports events of any kind. I apoligise for the long post and large images, but i want any prospective buyer to share my enthusiasm for the car and the amount of work that has gone into it. Im not going to sell it to just anybody, so no tyre kickers. Interstate buyers are more than welcome. Even all fasteners have been replaced with stainless items and polished. All hoses have been replaced either with silicon or genuine Nissan items. Earls braided hoses and fittings are utilised extensively, and Earls Flame Guard has been used to protect hoses in hot areas. I really wanted to make the engine thermally efficient and, with the heat shielding, heat wrap, ceramic coating, Flame Guard, vented bonnet, larger radiator, oil cooler, and massive OEM thermo fans, you dont burn your face off when you open the bonnet. So i think thats it. The photos dont really do the car justice, but im sure you get the idea. Im in no hurry to sell the car so if it takes a while i dont mind. Im looking for the right buyer, so for interested enthusiasts, dont hesitate to contact me for any queries. Im starting at $27000 negotiable. I dont care if other 32 GTR's are 20 grand; theyre not this car and i dont want to hear it. Dont forget that this car has done about 5000kms since a complete rebuild and re registration. I have carried out all the installation and fabrication work, but the engine building was left to the experts. Due to the higher than normal compression, the car is great to drive off boost and is acceptable for everyday duties. I really wanted to build an all round car, and i think ive acheived that. All modifications have been engineered, and all receipts and import documentation are available for inspection. A comprehensive photo diary of every modification is also available for perusal. I also have all the air conditioning equipment that was removed and many other spares if the buyer wants them. I can be contacted on 0414972596 anytime. The car is located on the Central Coast, NSW, about an hour north of Sydney. Thanks for reading, Shaun.
  17. What about an Earls oil cooler? Theyre just as good quality as the jap ones, and you can customise it all to suit your needs. The mounting hardware is as good as anything ive seen, and they sell thermostats also. I wouldnt bother with a thermostat at all though. I really looked into this, and anyone with any knowledge on the subject advised me against it. The thermostat was $200 extra plus braided line and four extra Earls fittings, not to mention the added possibility of something to go wrong. I undo one of the fittings on the cooler to empty the oil from the core. It takes 6 litres all up (RB26). I also fill the oil up to the bump on the dipstick which solved oil surge problems i was having when i put new semi slick tyres on. Shaun.
  18. Just a quick question regarding correct tyre pressures for these Federal 595 RSR tyres ive got. The tyre place put 45 psi in them which i thought was a bit too much. The Federal website suggests a maximum cold tyre pressure of 44 psi, but does this mean that you cant run them at around 35 psi like normal road tyres? Good tyres by the way; very sticky. Thanks, Shaun.
  19. Yeah, i couldnt believe my luck to see the F1 testing. We also saw the new F430 Scuderia doing hot laps around the test track at dusk; glowing brakes and all. They were testing tyres. The town is amazing; its full on Ferarri. You can see trucks with loads of alloy engine castings coming from the foundry and everything. Its all pretty exxy though. I bought a Ferarri mug for A$36! Shaun.
  20. Does anyone know if this actually happened? I couldnt get down there to have a look. Shaun.
  21. Nah, i didnt think you were rude or anything; i saw you wave. It was just weird because i was waving at some ramdom dude.
  22. I saw a nice dark blue (or black) R32 gtr at Gosford today around 11:30. Plates were 1RB 26T. Big wheels. He must have thought i was an idiot because i waved even though i was in my Corolla. I was hoping he'd see my skylines australia sticker. Anyone on here? Shaun.
  23. Yeah, hopefully ill get down there for a look. Ive gotta work both nights, but maybe ill take the Ambulance down if we've got no jobs. Im gonna warn anyone who isnt acting like an idiot too. Shaun.
