  1. Thanks Artz... very much appreciated. Lots to read on that link. lol
  2. Hi all, Was hoping for some advice, just lost my ceramic turbine out the exhaust of my stock Series 2 R33 with the RB25DET and who should I get it repaired by, or should I just replace it? Only got a stock motor with high kays on it... (270k), standard in guard I/C, standard ECU and about 10psi. Suppose, I must have either hit more boost than that a few times for it to let go, that or I had a bearing let go. Either way the turbine wheel has gone now and the car lost a lot of power (no really! lol) and the rear seal was weeping a little oil so I had a smoke screen following me at any rev above idle. Got the car home, without upsetting too many people but I need my daily driver back! Not interested in rebuilding the motor on this car or making it a high power, just need it back without too many hassles now or in the future. Really want bolt on and am happy to do a bit of work to get it done. Who can overhaul? Can I send it somewhere and get a standard overhauled turbo sent to me? Can I buy a new spool assembly and bolt my bits on them? What is the most cost effective? Where do I buy? Probably don't want to spend heaps but I don't want to buy cheap shit either, will possibly park the car or move it on soon. Any ideas, who can help me please? Need the car back on the road asap. I am in Geelong, Victoria not that this will make much difference! Thanks in advance for any advice. Stephen
  3. Hey Guys and Girls, Just going to change all of the Drive Belts on my Series 2 R33 1995 GTS-T (RB25DET) and was wondering about the 4PK and 3PK part numbers (generic brand). Does anyone know the cross reference from Nissan Part Numbers to Generic Brand? My Nissan Numbers are Fan Belt - N/11720 42L02AU P/S Belt - N/11950 58S02 A/C Belt - N11720 77A01 Would love the generic numbers as it will save at least 50% in cost Stephen
  4. most insurance companies, give you one windscreen per policy (or year) with some! Shannons considered the drivers window part of this.
  5. I would imagine that the $900 is a bit expensive but considering that I just spent $300 on the same thing for my 1995 R33 Coupe, it is possibly about right. I should have bought Genuine but didn't as I needed to fix it away from home. Insurance should cover it too... it did for me! All paid and Shannons are brilliant!!
  6. mine lasted a bit longer... bought about 25mths ago, probably installed about 50ks ago. All of a sudden after a boot full on a cold morning at least one of them gave up. thought they were ok! put my stock ones back in, that'll do for the moment
  7. Welcome... looks nice and kinda like what I want. Was going to import very soon but think the Japanese tragedy will delay that greatly. As a fellow Geelong person in a too common R33, feel free to contact me if you need a hand with anything. I know a few people and am happy to help.
  8. mmm nice... pardon my (un)intelligence is it a Dualis? was in one last week for the run to Melbourne although I never really saw it.
  9. nice and good responses... I agree about costs. STI money too but you don't like them!! haha Turbo Forester would be my pick for a 'family' car... slightly less than the others and so much stuff included. wish they we a bit less rolly polly tho. 5 door GTI good though and nice choice
  10. R20 from what I understand... I don't think you can test drive an R20 in Australia as they are not here yet are they? I drove the old R32 and it was good... the new R20 is a full second quicker to 100... now 5.2 secs Your right about the money though and the GTI is so close to it... except the 4 wheel drive. A WRX, EVO or even a Turbo Forester is much beeter value but the GTI is niocely screwed together. Did you go the DSG?
  11. Couldn't wait for the R20? There good aren't they...
  12. I could be your chauffeur, not sure I look good in a skirt but maybe!!! when is the drive?
  13. 1. Yes you can install aftermarket gear into the standard screen. 2. 03 and 04 English Menu's available via the link on 3 or so posts above.
  14. yep... Chris is right. I don't know what it is!
  15. I think we should stop debating what Andy is or isn't receiving or whether he is a trader. It isn't important, if he makes any money I don't believe many actually care, I know I wouldn't and I am sure it isn't an instant upgrade with no time required. He is the middle man for someone a long way away who provides a cheap (read appropriate) product. If it wasn't for him... no-one would have the conversion. Unless this other person comes out with his own version... and I agree let us hope it isn't a crack of the S1 version, or at the very least lets hope an effective S2 (+) version is also available.
  16. Good work Andy and don't worry about... there are some of us that appreciate what you have done and I am sure that no-one really cares. Can't imagine why anyone would think it is problem if you took the time to read how it all developed. If this is how they wan't to run the forum, I would imagine that would be a bit silly. Just for the record... I don't even have a V series Skyline so conversion for me is irrelevant.
  17. or another one... isn't Shell crap fuel still? In all seriousness though thanks for the post... sounds good and might just fill up on Sunday. I am sure that it is more than acceptable and I am not trying to start a fuel debate, as I am sure there is one already somewhere around here.
