  1. Starting to think its prob a bent valve gonna do a compression test maybe later will have a better idea then

I am starting to think its more than likely a bent valve anyone no of a good supplier for valves gonna do a compression test tomorrow if I get time so that should give me a few answers I'm thinking who ever done the timing on it at 108 miles made a mistake some how putting it back together if it was out a tooth or 2 probly hit the valve on number 6 the lad I bought it off just played dumb and gave me no indication what so ever how the tick got into it only thing he said was he got the timing belt done on it at 108km 140 on it now

  5. I t sound the very same as if it was a hy draulic lifter that wasn't gettin any oil .so do you reckon I may pull the head off it
  6. Hi I have a r34 2.0l non turbo has a rattle: in the head after 2000 revs around num6 cylinder and is missing on tat cylinder also would this have something to do with the vtc or would u think there is something wrong with the valve clearance any help would would be great full cheers
  7. Hi I just bought a r34 non turbo and it has a loud rattling noise after 2000 revs and a miss fire on cylinder 6 so she is ticking over a bit rough. Anyone got any idea what could be wrong with it have looked around the forums a bit but haven't really found an answer. I was thinking it was a lifter that was stuck but from what I read they are solid lifters so I see that the Neo engines have vtc solen ides on the intake valves could it have something to do with this and how would I check etc any help would be great full or is there shims on the lifters that might have been thrown off the lifter just find it rather strange that there is no noise when ticking over just the rough idle hope fully 1 of ye can help me cheers
